SBC: WIJFR: Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (NS)
For SBC, one of the categories is to read a book whose movie version you have already seen then post a WIJFR. I chose to read Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. I've seen this movie multiple times, and enjoy it very much. I've actually wanted to read the book for a while now so this kind of pushed me more towards it.
I didn't like the book as much as I like the movie. Maybe it's because I saw the movie first, so I knew what happened. I didn't get emotionally attached to the characters, so I wasn't upset when certain things happened.
I did still enjoy the story, but I dunno I just wasn't as "into" it as I thought I would be.
I gave it 3/5 stars.
