    2. Any progress towards goals? Put $400 into the account for our lump sum loan payment, which will now be turned into mega savings for the next 9 months.

    3. What's your favorite candy?  I would prefer ice cream over any candy, but if I had to choose then it would be Juicy Pear Jelly Belly's.  Yummy!

  • 1. Could have been better. $20 on a girls' night with my friends, $34 lunch with H, $40 dinner with H, $30 on gas, $100 "earnest money" (see below).

    2. We put in an offer on my favorite house! It's in a very cool small city, has an open floor plan and a fireplace, and actually has a quarter acre lot! It also has a fenced in yard (key because I want to adopt a dog and the agencies like that) and ginormous basement. I'm in love, and waiting to hear back is totally dragging. It's in the middle of our price range, so it will allow to to keep up with our goals well.

    3. Kinder eggs! They're amazing chocolate eggs with little toys inside. They're banned as a choking hazard in the US, but we gorged on them during our trip.

    1) We spent about $60 for groceries at Costco.  Plus we submitted earnest money yesterday (ouch).  Other than that, we used our chick fil a cards on Saturday for lunch.  Lunch was $1.60 for both of us.  Then we used another coupon at a local place for lunch on yesterday.  That was $12.

    2) All the house stuff

    3) OMG I love reese's.  I can't buy them because I will eat entire bags in a single sitting.

    1. How MM was your weekend?

Pretty good - we spent some money going out to eat but it was with 3 different groups of friends.

    2. Any progress towards goals?

On Friday we saved some extra money that we'll put towards the mortgage at the end of the month. :)

    3. What's your favorite candy?

    Skittles

  • 1. How MM was your weekend? Pretty good. Groceries $180, Thai on Saturday $20,Target $25. Took the girls to the park to play Friday night, DH's parents' house Saturday night to have dinner and visit, and ran errands on Sunday.

    2. Any progress towards goals? Set up 2 529 plans for the girls ($5,000 each), added $5,000 ($2,500 each) to our Roths for 2014. Will contribute the other $6,000 ($3,000 each) in November.

    3. What's your favorite candy? Really dark chocolate

  • 1. How MM was your weekend? Really good, wife was tired and worked all weekend and I was sick with bronchitis that knocked me out.  We did get Chinese, but wife paid for it out of her account.

    2. Any progress towards goals? Just trying not to spend too much money since we will need extra in December.  May have to get DS glasses this fall also.

    3. What's your favorite candy? I love bridge mix, have all my life but I don't buy it since I eat the whole bag in one sitting.

  • 1. How MM was your weekend?

It was a very spendy weekend, but it was budgeted. Spent $110 on groceries, $83 total on gas, about $300 on a Terror Convention and $77 on dog items (we are picking up a puppy on Saturday!)

    2. Any progress towards goals?

We finally got our State Refund and placed that in our savings account. We are putting 3/4 of that money towards our puppy, so it is worth it to us. The remainder will stay in that account.

    3. What's your favorite candy?

Milky Ways! But in all, anything that has caramel in it.

  • 1. How MM was your weekend? Pretty good... $10 on Friday for Food for the weekend, made a big batch then ate leftovers all weekend instead of going out, $2 on Saturday to buy some candy to take to a friend's house to watch a movie. She wanted to go to the movies, but I convinced her to stay home, save money and do candy/popcorn there since there was nothing that either of us were dying to see, and $30 on Sunday for Groceries for the week and some cleaning supplies for my move. Not too bad overall!

    2. Any progress towards goals? Yep...paid off two loans which frees up $48 a month for my snowball.

    3. What's your favorite candy? I go back and forth between junior mints and milk duds depending on my mood. Twizzlers are a close second/third though.

Ha Don't worry I will! We are taking a drive to pick him up. He'll be 10 weeks old on Saturday, and he is a German Shepherd. Most adorable thing ever. I can't wait to see him.

    1. How MM was your weekend?

Considering how much work is still left at the new house this was a surprisingly "light" spending weekend.  We drove down to spend the weekend with my parents so I could attend my 15 year High School reunion.  We spent $13 at Burger King on Friday night (entertainment budget), $150 at Lowe's (Father's Day gifts and lumber to build shelves, budgeted for in gifts and house), and $4 at Wendy's to try their new Frosty Waffle cones (entertainment budget).  When we got back into town last night I ordered a new buffet/sideboard for the formal dining room.  It was online for $399 at several stores including Bed Bath and Beyond.  I had a 20% coupon that expired yesterday so I called into the store and they processed the order for me so I could use the coupon and still receive the free shipping.  It saved us $80!

    2. Any progress towards goals?

We are still working on merging bank accounts now that the mortgage is finalized.  I renamed a few existing bank accounts and did some transferring so that we now have accounts specifically for vacation, ROTH, Car Insurance & Car Fund, and general savings.

    3. What's your favorite candy?

Just about anything Reese's, especially Reese's Easter Eggs (or pumkins, or Christmas trees, lol) and Reese's Pieces.

My two local BBB stores honor expired coupons in the store. I've used them almost a year after they expire.

    I love German Shepherds!
  • I'm late coming to this but oh well.

    1. How MM was your weekend? I thought we did good. Our tuition for puppy obedience class was due $100, but we had that budgeted for and it's a 2 month class so it's not too bad. We did buy some dog treats ($5) as a reward for the pup since he did pretty good on his first day of class. :)

    2. Any progress towards goals? We were able to put an extra $200 away in savings--we're planning on re-doing our master bathroom in a year or so and want to pay cash for it.

    3. What's your favorite candy? I'm actually not a big fan of candy, although on occasion I will eat caramel if it's there. Or Reese's. Yummy!

Awww, how cute! Our pup is a German Shepherd mix--they're great dogs and are so cute when they're little. They look like little teddy bears! :)

Yes they do! I had one who passed away last year of old age (he was 13?) but loved kids and old folk, but was very protective of my family. I can't wait to have another.

    ***STUCK IN BOX***

The coupons we have been getting are the newer "20% if used by X date or 10% if used after X date".  The coupon doesn't "expire" you just don't get the full value.

    Mine doesn't say that.... Hmmm.
