  Update... So, we think she must have eaten a pinecone. It has obviously irritated her tummy, but at least she didn't swallow it whole! By the time she got taken back to the vet, she had had what DH called a "magic poop" that was more normal (although still bloody) and was back to her old self. Vet examined her and no fever and felt comfortable treating conservatively (anti-nausea med, abx, probiotics, bland diet). FX that she's officially on the mend now. Thank you all for your positive vibes and thoughts!

  Great update! I had a feeling that's what it was. Same thing happened when my Jack Russell mix ate a squeaker from his toy. The meds helped tremendously and he was back to himself within a couple days. FX your pup heals quickly too!
