Help Me Plan

What is the best favor you ever got at a party? Or what would you like to get as a favor?

Do you like to see lots of decorations or just minimal?

Games or no games?

Cake, cupcake, or cookies?

Looking for ideas for a bridal shower. Answer as a guest and then as a bride!

Re: Help Me Plan

  • My favorite favors are edible. I also like ones that are useful like a cookie cutter. I can tell you that for me, seeds go unplanted and plants die.

I'm not one to go crazy over decorations, especially if the space already has a lot of character.

I don't mind games, especially if they're played as the bride is opening gifts, like bingo or the one with the timer and you get a prize if it goes off and the bride's opening your gift. I'm not into toilet paper outfits or anything like that.

I would prefer cake or cupcakes. Cookies would be okay if they were one of multiple desserts. Although, it's all sugar so I wouldn't complain either way.

I tend to enjoy showers that have a theme. I went to one recently that was movie themed. They used reels and clapboards in their centerpieces, had the couple's favorite movie playing in the background, and the favors were little buckets of candied popcorn. I thought it was really cute!

  • I really like when people give to charity that is important to the guest of honor, I really don't need anything else and I try not to eat bad stuff. I have to say though, we do use the wine stops we got alot haha.

I like decorations if they are creative and put some thought into them, not just the store bought ones.

I like games, some people think they are cheesy but they are fun and definitely pass the time when you are just watching someone open gifts.

    I like cookies, yum.

My girls did an amazing job. Me and H are HUGE phillies phans and they had everything so well done. Everything went with the theme. My guests had rally towels, cracker jacks, popcorn. I had phantic (the mascot) cupcakes. People still talk about how awesome it was.  My friend had a tea theme and had tea pots everywhere and gave out little teas. I like themes too, i think it makes it easier to plan as well.
