T&P for my brother
For the past couple years my brother has had a lot of health issues. It started off with dizzy spells, wicked headaches and loss of balance. He was misdiagnosed with Lyme disease and was put on 24/7 meds via PICC line (click here for an explanation of PICC...) . That didn't cure him, so he has been getting tested for all sorts of stuff, MS, Parkinsons, cancer, brain problems, etc. He has had several MRIs, brain scans, CAT scans and more. Nobody can figure out what is wrong, but he was just diagnosed with scoliosis and degenerative disk disease, both of which my dad has.
My brother is only 22 and this mystery illness is really altering his way of life. He can't play sports anymore, can't drive (he got a license doing the written test but isn't stable enough to actually take car lessons) and has to reduce his work load as a commercial custodian. He never complains and is very soft spoken about it all but my mom said she can see him getting frustrated.
T&P is greatly appreciated!!
ETA:his latest MRI showed volume loss in the area of the brain that controls balance. Apparently that's very uncommon for someone so young.
