How was father's day for everyone?

Another great weather weekend!!  Did all of the dads enjoy father's day?

Ours was nice and laid back...my dad had to work, so we saw him Friday night instead of yesterday.  I took the kids to church in the morning then to a playground for a bit so that Brian could get a run in and have some time to himself.  We relaxed a bit after lunch, then got out the slip and slides and pool once Liam woke up from his nap.  Brian requested sir pizza for dinner, we enjoyed that outside and had the kids in bed super early, they were wiped from all of the weekend excitement :)  Oh and we got him a knock-off Go Pro camera that can attach to his ski helmet, he was really excited.

  • We didn't do too much, but ours was nice!  Rich went golfing in the morning, so the boys and I just hung up and did some art projects for him.  I took Mason to a bday party in the afternoon, and Rich and Garrett played in the sprinkler.  We had dinner and all crashed early that night! Between tball and the arts fest the day before, we were all pretty wiped out!

We are doing a cook out next Sunday with our families to celebrate Father's Day.

Our father's day was nice.  We bought Eric tickets to a Cleveland Indians game that is this Thursday at noon.  It worked out since he has Thursdays off.  I'm looking forward to taking the day off and actually spending some time as a family.  We went to my parent's house yesterday and swam and cooked food on the grill.  My Dad seemed to enjoy himself playing with Keefer and Elsey.

  • Quiet and calm.  On Saturday I got to spend some alone time with my dad for the first time in I don't know how long.
Sunday, dh and set the kiddie pool up for the kids and played corn hole.

  • Sounds like everyone was laid back! I made a big breakfast and gave Tim the day to hang out and do whatever he wanted (lots and lots of video games) until dinner at my sister's. nice and relaxed!

  • We spent the whole day moving into our house, so DH didn't get much of a day off. We quit working around 3:30, though, and spent a couple of hours cooling off in the pool and playing with the boys. He requested Mexican from a place we like down here so I ran out and picked it up to finish off the day.

He laughed at the fact that we got him a gas blower as a gift, but considering we have a lot of trees around the yard, and subsequent debris, it was taking forever to brush around the pool. The job just went from 30 minutes to 5 with the blower!

We had a nice Father's Day weekend doing family stuff in between Steve's work calls. Had lunch at Burgatory on Saturday, then we spent the afternoon at the Arts Festival. I took Jackson to do just about every craft offered at the children's area. He's a craft lover. That evening we saw How to Train your Dragon at the drive in.

Father's day we went to a diner for breakfast and then swam at Sandcastle before going over to my parents' house.
