Poor DH :-(

My poor DH has a partially torn bicep muscle! On Saturday, the crazy nut, decided to try and move a big rock/boulder from the middle of our driveway to block where our neighbor keeps getting materials dropped off in our driveway for HIS property. DH wanted to take the passive aggressive route so he wanted to move the boulder to block the guy from being able to drive onto the lawn. Well now he can't use his left arm! Luckily, it isn't ruptured so he won't need surgery but he was told that he is not allowed to lift or use it at all for 2-4 weeks!

  • Oh no! That's no fun at all! Tell him to take it easy because the surgery for that sucks big time. Hopefully it heals quickly!

He had surgery on his right shoulder 8 years ago and it is still not fully mobile. He now hurt his left arm so I am doing EVERYTHING to prevent him from using his left arm at all. The last thing I want is for him to go through surgery again.

  • We manage to move the boulder together. Me with all my strength and him with one arm haha.

We have asked the neighbor TWICE to please ask our permission before dumping anything along the property line. We have gone to his door multiple times and he has never once answered or followed up with us afterwards(this is in the past). So now we just put a big ass boulder in the way so he can't access that part of the property line anymore.

In the past, he has dropped fire wood in the driveway and left it for over a year, dumped fireplace ash and cinders in the leaves on the fence and lit the leaves and fence on fire, parked his car along the side of our driveway entrance on the lawn without asking and left it for 2 days while his driveway was paved. It goes on and on and every single time either DH or the couple who shares the driveway with us has gone over and he gets nasty or doesn't answer the door.

    It's childish and rude.

  • Ugh what a horrible neighbor...mine don't answer the door either. They don't even answer the door for police half the time. Some people...I hope the boulder solves the issue! Or at least helps it.

  • Wow.. that's ridiculous! Is there any way y'all could put up a fence on that side? Or would that not work logistically (or financially)

Our plan is to plant a hedge along the existing chain link fence, which he cut down in the section he abuses. So the boulder will be in front of the hedges and hopefully that gets the point across.

  • Ow!! I hope he listens and takes it easy the next few weeks. Definitely NOT something I'd want to have to go through surgery for!

And that neighbor is a real winner. I've never understood grown people acting like immature brats. You know you're doing something wrong, you got called out for it (probably politely at first), now suck it up and move along!
