Prenatal Vitamins

H and I are planning to TTC in September and I'd like to start taking prenatal vitamins before that. Which brands did you ladies use or currently use?

    I've tried a bunch of different ones- I really liked the One a Day prenatals because the DHA pills were really small and easy to swallow, but they're pretty pricey.  I switched to the Nature Made which isn't bad.  It's a combo so you only have to take one pill, and while it's big, it's coated so I haven't had any issues with swallowing it/gagging on it.

    I take Nature's Made Multi Prenatal with Folic Acid, Zinc and Iron.

    I bought the Costco brand. I compared the levels of the vitamins in that to the Centrum brand and they were exactly the same, and like a third of the price.

    I took the CVS brand prenatal vitamins. I had samples of different brands from my OB and the amounts of everything were comparable.

    I had the gummy ones. I can't swallow pills and everything in these were still comparable to everything else. I will say though that just because you start on one now when you get pregnant you may need to change. Some prenatals can make you sick once pregnant it will all depend on your body. Just make sure you get a prenatal with a folic acid some don't have it.

    I took the gummy ones...they are delish! But they don't have any iron in them, so you may end up having to take an iron supplement, but only if your doc tells you to. My iron levels were just fine so I didn't have to take anything besides the gummies.

    Mine are Rx ones that my RE writes for with Folic acid and vitamin D.  I couldn't tell you the actual name as my bottle only says Prenatal vitamin.
