Finally read Eleanor & Park (sp) and Recommendations?
I just finished E&P tonight! I really loved it and was sucked in right from the beginning.
However, I feel as many of you did that the ending was pretty anti-climactic. I really wanted something crazy to happen with her family. Like I wanted Richie to get drunk and die in a car accident and the family would be free. Or I wanted Park's parents to report him. Or something. I was just kind of disappointed about it. Plus, we didn't really find out what happened with her mom and siblings. It seemed as though they got out, but how/why/when, etc. I don't like when books end without answering my questions. Plus, I didn't like the end of Park and Eleanor. When he put her in the RV I was thinking that maybe she would stay and live in the RV and get a job or something. And I knew his parents would catch him before he left, but I thought that they would do something to help and keep her there instead of allowing Park to take her away and leave her. =((
Really though, 95% of the book was so great that I was really quite happy with it!
I have been in a reading slump for about a year. I have read 3 books in the last month though and I want to keep on it!!! I really loved this and it reminded me how involved and interested I get in YA romance. I don't want to fall off again so I want to jump right in to another book.
What should I read next?
