Soooooo - kind of long ramble
My birthday is on Thursday. I'm going to be 30. And to me it's just another day. I mean I'm generally excited to get birthday presents. And my sister is coming to visit for a week. We have lots of fun plans. Up until last week I was always saying I wasn't freaking out about turning 30. But in the last week I wake up finding I've been clenching my teeth. My shoulders have knots in them. So I'm wondering if subconsciously I've been worried about it. Or it could be my jerk of a husband and dealing with a cranky, teething toddler lately especially with no break last week. I would create anew paragraph here but my iPad doesn't format when I post. So I have a zoo trip this morning with a new mom group. I met a mom at the park and she invited me along. Kind of stressing about that since I don't really know them. Plus I have cleaning to do this afternoon before my sister arrives late tonight. I know my sister won't care if I need to mop or vacuum, it's just a personal thing that I want everything clean.
Third paragraph-- p has been making comments lately about needing to save money. A) I coupon, and usually (9/10 times) stick to the grocery budget.

Lily and I rarely eat out where as he eats lunch out at least 3 times a week if not all 5 days. C) I take Lily to the zoo (zoo pass) or the park. I find free things to do or cheap things. D) who bought a $400 video card for his computer, some new video games? And we both agreed on buying new phones once the house was sold so that was a chunk of change right there. E) I know I have added thing to my cart here and there we didn't have to have both snack wise or toy wise. But I still shop clearance and have half our Christmas shopping done. Ugh, he might not have been directing this at me, it might have been a comment in general. But it felt like it was directed at me.

The zoo trip is not something you have to do today. Just explain to the mom you need to get the house ready for your sister's arrival and you would love to go with the group another time. I always clean before relatives come to visit so I know how you feel.
Maybe the statement he made was general and not directed at you. Maybe it was even him feeling guilty about the $400 purchase he made. Money stinks and will always be a hot topic in any relationship.
And just try to take some time to relax. Let your sister play with Lily so you can clean and just have some time to yourself. And I wouldn't stress out about the mom's group. If it doesn't work out, there are no bad side effects. You are just going to the zoo, which you would have gone anyway. And it has the potential to work out, which is even better!
