NBR: T&P for my CW, please

My coworker and friend just got diagnosed with colon cancer.  She's really positive about the course of treatment, but I cannot help but worry about her.  She's and I work together closely on the weekends at the museum. She's only 51, not that age is a thing but still.

I've had a lot of wine tonight, and I'm going to have more.

  • She may not be comfortable with this, but if her treatment involves removing all or part of her colon, I'd be happy to talk to her. I've had the same surgery (not due to cancer, but the surgery remains the same). I talk to people facing total or partial colectomies all the time - my surgeon refers people to me.

In any case, my thoughts and prayers are with her!

So far it looks like she won't have any removal.  They did something where they clamped and bypassed it so that it can heal during and after chemo and radiation.
