We're heading to Atlanta tomorrow to see H's family after he finishes his bar prep stuff he needs to do.

Then Sunday he's informed me we have to exercise for an hour.  Brij is obviously way more motivated than me about exercise, because I immediately objected to that idea.  That said, I suppose he's right (maybe), so he'll probably win.  Sigh.

Oh and today our sellers are having a contractor come look at the last thing we need to negotiate.  With any luck the cost is something we can come to an agreement about, and we'll be full steam ahead on the house!

I love exercise!  I think that DH may finally be heading to the gym.  I've tried for 3 years and he always makes excuses.  But since he jacked up his back with a pinched nerve, I think he is finally see that he needs to be active to keep feeling young.  When we are on vacation in 2 weeks I'm gonna find a yoga studio in Sanibel to visit.

This cracks me up.  Exercise is my "therapy." lol.  Even with being pregnant, I'm still training for a half marathon in 3 months.

What about doing something like hiking with your H?  Something that's exercise, but not exercise.

  • Tonight, I might be heading for a hike with my BFF, DH and our dogs. If not I will go grocery shopping and sweeping up the house.

Tomorrow is DD's ballet recital, then I'm just going to hang out and maybe catch a movie

Sunday I'm taking my family to Hibachi for a birthday dinner.

  • H got a impacted wisdom tooth out today, so I will be watching him sleep and waiting on him hand a foot.

Wife of the year right here.

    :) Enjoy your weekend everyone!
  • Tomorrow I'll be working-my nonprofit is working on a big project to install some rain gardens in a nearby town.  The whole thing got off to a late start and now we're playing catchup to get at least a couple in before the July heat hits.  The good news is I can comp the time to take a day for packing or moving later.

Saturday night I'm hanging out with a friend, and Sunday I'm being baptized at my church, which I'm excited about.  My church does not normally do adult baptisms (i.e. most people are baptized as babies, I just never was) so I'm also a fair bit nervous, but it's something I've wanted to do for a while now.
  • @hoffse, that's hilarious! I'm pretty sure that's how DH feels, haha. I get grumpy if I don't get at least either my daily yoga session or an evening jog. What about something like tennis, raquetball or just having fun a skating rink or something? Those can be fun to do as a couple (I think so at least, DH might disagree with me!)

I feel like a slacker. I have absolutely no plans this weekend besides puppy training tomorrow morning. I'll probably take the pup to the farmer's market afterwards to walk around our town square and so I can browse the shops but that's it for me. It's so hard to get motivated to do something when it's just me (DH and I have totally different work schedules so I end up spending most weekends by myself. I really need to start making some friends that live in the area and are awake during daylight hours, lol).
  • Yeah, I become a total bitch if I don't get in my yoga at least twice a week!  I start to feel all icky if I go a week without any sort of activity.  I wasn't able to exercise during my last pregnancy with DD because I was so barfy every day so all I could ever manage to do was just walk.  I'm already visualizing that my next pregnancy will be better and I can go to yoga all the way up to delivery.

  • Nothing today except some work from home on my AWS day off.  I have other work to do this weekend for work but don't know how much I will get done.

Tomorrow I get to do to Columbus for my 25th High School reunion.  I am planning on leaving home late afternoon and coming home afterwards, I will leave earlier than the 2am time it is suppose to end.

Sunday, MW and I will be celebrating our actual anniversary of when we got married.  We had a church ceremony this year to make our marriage from 2 years ago Catholic legal.  We did this since we are planning on sending our children to Catholic School.
  • We went on a hour and a half hike after work, came home and had dinner.

Tomorrow we have a birthday party to go to, our friends  twins are turning 1.  Its about two hour drive for us each way.  But they are moving next week to Arizona =(, we live in New Jersey.  And I wouldn't miss it!

Sunday my co worker is coming over.  We plan on doing some hiking and strawberry picking.

Ha!  I wish H and I liked doing the same kind of exercise - that's really the problem.  He loves the elliptical.  And he says going to the gym by himself makes him lonely, so he gives me that sad face and I always cave and go with him.  I mostly stick to the treadmill and bike, but I do find those pretty boring.

I'm much more on board with yoga, zumba, dance-related group fitness classes.  BUT we have a very nice standard gym at our apartment complex, so paying extra for the fitness classes doesn't really make sense right now.  After we (hopefully) move, we'll probably join the Y and then the options will be better for me.  H can ellipticize (is that a word?) while I do yoga.  There's a Y way super close to this new house, which is great!

  • yeah, the gym doesn't do anything for me anymore. I hate feeling like I'm going nowhere on a treadmill.  Yoga has everything you need - cardio and using your body as your own weights.

  • @hoffse Put some music on your iPod and listen to that.  My favorite is to listen to an audiobook while on the treadmill or out for a run.  Yes, a dork, but it makes the time go so much faster and gives you something else to focus on.
