    Rant...Not sure why kids are expected to listen and follow rules/directions when their parents don't do it!!!  I had to make a rule about no backpacks due to lack of space in the cubbies.  Every other week, I have to tell the same parents. I've told them that they have to fill out a form for us to apply sunscreen or bug spray.  (stupid, I know, but its a state regulation)  Nope they stick it in the cubbie for the child to bring me later.  I understand  parents are busy, but for me to have to remind them all the time?!?  So frustrating.

    AW - My office is supposed to have quarterly retreats. I've been there for over a year and we've only had one and morale was going south so we had one today! We met at Elk Neck State Park and walked the trail to the Turkey Point Lighthouse then went to lunch at the Nauti Goose. It was so nice! And...I was home by 1pm :)

    WTF work....did you really send me an email asking me to design a mudroom/laundry room for you? because i'm on maternity leave. and i'm not getting paid by you to do work so why should I? are you going to give me a raise or pay me for said work?

    also WTF client. did you really email asking to come to my house to see my child. because as much as I like you, you're my client and I don't want you in my house. I'd like to keep work and home separate and I don't want you knowing where I live.

    RANT - Why is it that people who are hard workers and do their jobs well are constantly taken advantage of?  Why should they have to live up to higher expectations than everyone else?  What's the lesson here?  To be mediocre because it's easier?

    Today is Thursday...but...
    WTF children. Today is our first day of SUMMER...sleep in. 5:45 is NOT acceptable. We have never had to get up that early and we're not going to start now.

    AW: My husband bought this last Friday. I'm still not sure how I feel about it.

    It's a Fed Ex truck he's turning into a food truck. He will probably be at the Peach Festival if the guy ever calls him back.

    I posted this on @amcourt09's Facebook page, but if anyone else is interested in reading about what M is doing - www.wildwich.com.

    I'm probably biased, but the food is really good. I'm sure I won't be saying that in three months when all we're eating is leftovers from the day (I'm seriously praying they don't have much in the way of leftovers, because we have a mortgage to pay), but yeah.
