I can't keep this in any longer. After a bit of a merge with another office my position has completely changed. This means we had to rewrite and re-classify my job description. Through this whole process I knew my salary would go up a bit(one to two paygrades) well I just signed my position description and my supervisor told me their goal was to have it move up four or five paygrades and turn it into a professional position rather than hourly. This will increase my salary by 25-30% and I can't believe it!
It also changes my chain of command for the better and gets me out from under someone that hasn't always been a joy to work for.
I am so excited, and for the first time in my career actually feel like my hard work and dedication are actually paying off. So I had to share. This will also mean that I can build savings and pay off my car *that* much sooner and my retirement will fund that much quicker as I've been putting 12% in since I started working here 5.5 years ago!
Sorry to AW but I just had to share!!!

I think one of the coolest things for me is I can't wait to see my savings grow and my debt shrink. Not once has something to buy or upgrade come into my head which is a great mindset to be in at the moment. Especially considering I used to be a HUGE shopper lol
I have a small spa weekend planned as a celebration for my 16% raise in my Moonlighting gig, mostly because I was proud of myself for negotiating. I was a little eh about spending the money but now I'm for sure going and celebrating both.
