wtf employer? Am I working today or just coming in to sign papers? Do I need to pack a meal, if I am working when is my shift over?

(back story: I got this job through a placement agency so they are sort of the go between for me and the employer. I only spoke with my employer during my interview and she contacted the placement agency to tell them they wanted me. The PA rep is meeting me today at 11 but she doesn't know what exactly we are doing).

WTF Japanese beetles eating my basil plant!

I went outside this morning to check on my deck container garden and everything looked great...until I looked at basil. There were beetles all over it and they had eaten so many of my beautiful basil leaves : ( My basil was so healthy, the leaves were as big as my hand, and I've been loving to cook with it. Now, I'm afraid the nasty beetles are going to eat the whole thing in a day or 2!

I looked up beetle solutions and since I'm not going to use any pesticides since a) I try to be as organic as possible and b) I actually want to eat my basil not chemicals. I read that garlic is a natural beetle deterrent. The online article said to spray garlic oil on the plant, so I have a whole head of garlic chopped up sitting in canola oil on my counter. Hopefully, it'll infuse enough to spray on the plants tomorrow. In the mean time, I went out there with garlic power and sprinkled it all over!

Now, I smell like garlic, but some of the beetles are gone!

Oh, I'll also add that before I tried the garlic thing, I was out there with a wooden spoon trying to shoo away the beetles. I must have looked like a total nut first with my wooden spoon then with my container of garlic powder...running away every time the beetles tried to attack me! Hopefully, all of my neighbors were at work!

WTF tornados. Yesterday, one touched down about a mile from our apartment and my parents, grandma, and cousin's house. Then a funnel cloud appeared above my office which is a good hour away from where I live. Everyone's ok and nothing of ours was damaged, but it was super scary. I love storms but tornados are not fun. This was the second time I've been in the direct path of one (last time was that story I told you guys about when I thought I was going to die when a tornado hit my high school when we were all inside it). I know it's just part of living where we do but it's so stressful sometimes! Anyhow, maybe I shouldn't make this a WTF since it all worked out fine but still...annoying.

No.

The battery isn't removable without taking about the whole phone. I ended up having to do a factory reset because it basically stopped working. I just need it to last another 2 months until I become eligible for an upgrade.

WTF I can't stop eating candy and fruit. Where fruit is good for you I crave and unhealthy amount of sugar. I have never been a sweet tooth, this is so strange! What causes sugar cravings? Am I missing a nutrient? I'm having a hard time finding it on google.

I'm thinking hormones and I don't think there is a cure for that right now.

What Cathy said. I want all the fruit! And peppermint patties. I never really loved peppermint patties, but I do now... Daily.

Boo! My old phone couldn't take the battery out. So frustrating.

I just had the Samsung guy at best buy reset my phone this weekend. It was freaking out since the last update. Now it's good.

My cws have started putting candy on my desk for me. It's really sweet of them, but not helping me with control.

@goatlady12 - I feel you. My student brought me old Bay cheese curls today. I know yall don't have herrs potato chips/ cheese curls, but they are so good, add old Bay and I'm in Maryland crab heaven... I haven't gotten yelled at for weight gain, but I will if this keeps up *pops another peppermint patty mini in my mouth *

WTF stereo.. you have three functions. Why is it that the one I purchased you for is not working at all? We bought an old console style radio from a classifieds listing. I was excited because it had a record player...and it doesn't work. We did get the radio on and found out that we can input sound through a headphone jack. This is going to be a big engineering project.
