Weekend Recap!

That's usually what we do in a Monday post. hahaha!

How was everyone's weekend??

Echo - I laughed so hard at that FB status of yours about Charlie during Mass!! My H thought I was nuts for laughing so much.

Our weekend was nice. It was nice to get away. The wedding was really cute. We didn't stay long at the reception because we only knew one other couple there and they left early because they have a baby and she was really fussy, so after they left we were alone and wedding's are not that much fun when you don't know anyone. hahah! But it was really nice to see that couple and the bride&groom so we're glad we went.
We took like 8 hours to get home yesterday because we stopped so many places just because we could. hahaha!

Re: Weekend Recap!

  • Happy Monday. Yeah sure that's it ;-)

Glad you enjoyed the wedding (mostly)

    Degrea how was NYC?

I laughed at Charlie's status too. Pretty funny.

My weekend was super duper lazy and I loved every minute of it.

  • Glad the wedding was good jlq!

Yeah I'm learning toddlers are their own being. And there's no point in trying to stop them because it just draws more attention to it.

Our weekend was good. My sil and Bil are expecting. They just found out Friday. They've had 2 miscarriages and their son was born in between. They're nervous obviously so any extra prayers would be good.

We went to my other nephews baptism out of town Saturday. It was nice to see them again.

I don't think we did much more.
  • Glad you had a relaxing weekend, Aggie!

Will send prayers for your SIL&BIL, Echo!

Happy Tuesday! NYC was good. The Yankees sucked but the weather was beautiful and seeing Tino get inducted to Monument park was cool. The 9/11 Memorial was done very well. Statue of Liberty was cool to see and Liberty Island has a lot of information on it. We will have to go back to Ellis Island as I didn't know there is 15 rooms with 100 things to read in each room. My H could spend a whole day in there reading. Either way I am glad we decided to take the statue cruise that actually takes you to the island and not just by the statue. Lion King was amazing!! The costumes and set design and stage. Even my H liked it. It was his first musical so we shall see if I can convince him to go to others. Heres to hoping! O and I got to meet my GF new BF. He is perfect for her, even if he is from Mass and loves the Pats! I am so happy for her.

Echo: TP for SIL and BIL!

Aggie: Glad you got to relax!

JLQ: Sounds like you had a nice weekend. Glad you and H got to spend some time together. That is always the best. It was probably my favorite part of the weekend.

I'm laughing really hard because a frenemie of mine posted on facebook that they need to come up with a new name for their baby (due in 8 weeks)  because the latest scan shows it's a girl and not a boy like they were told. ahahhahahahahahhahaha. This after they bought all new "boy" things (they have a 2 year old girl) and painted "his" room "boy" colors and everything. Ahahahahhah. This greatly amuses me!

ETA: Turns out this was a joke status posted by her husband.

  • Too bad it's a joke.

@aggiebug‌ will you be finding out what flavour of baby you're having?
  • I love how we have resorted to just continuing one thread.

@echo136‌ yup we will find out. :-) Dh can't handle not.

  • We should just see how long we can keep this thread going. lol!

I don't think I could handle not knowing either, Aggie! You'll have to fill us in when you know. Have you had a dr. appt. yet!!

  • So after TWO WEEKS of having a fridge that is on the fritz, they finally came today to deliver us a "new" one. You guys, it's like crappier than the one we have now! It's definitely older and it's totally smaller. I am not happy. What our landlords did is get a brand new one for themselves, and have the one they had brought here for us. WTF who does that!!!!! I'm so irritated it's not even funny.

  • Ugh that stinks Jlq.

My next Dr appt is in 2 wks. Then we will get and ultrasound and probably more bloodwork. Today is 7wks exactly and it's like my body said "welcome to week 7 sucker". This is the first day I have just felt crappy all day. I won't complain too much as I have yet to actually get sick but gagging all day isn't fun.

Boo for crappy fridge! And boo to gagging! Work is crazy busy. It is good but bad since I feel like I am running around all day with my head cut off.

  • Gagging is the worst. With ds1 I did that for 2 months and wanted to puke. Then the puking started and I wanted I just gag. No fun!

I love the surprise at the end!
  • And that fridge thing is lame!!!

  • Ugh gagging sometimes is worse than actually just throwing up!
I am very much not looking forward to that aspect of pregnancy, and am praying that I will have minimal sickness.

YOU GUYS! My little sister got school board approval for the teaching position!!!!! woohhoooo!!!!!!! She'll be teaching 6th&8th grade health in the middle school and physical education in the high school!! We're super excited!!

That's awesome @jlq2005‌ ! So she'll be living in the same city as you guys right?

Hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones jlq with no sickness. I wasn't bad with domino. I had 2 weeks where coffee made me nauseous but nothing like with Charlie. With him I couldn't stand food! Id start cooking dinner and then couldn't finish.

Oops I meant I wasn't bad with domo which is what I changed it to...

    Yea JLQ Sister!
You guys are making pregnancy sound so awesome right now. Lol!!! Hope you are feeling better Aggie.

Question Aggie if you don't mind answering how has your headaches been? I have a fear that pregnancy would throw me into a 10 month migraine.

That was my biggest fear and so far not a one. Well I did have a minor dehydration/tired headache that 1 Tylenol helped.

Degrea so far I would say pregnancy is weird. I don't feel terrible but just blah so far.

  • @jlq2005‌ that is so awesome about your sister! Yay. Will she live with you guys? Or find her own place?
    image

  • We offered for my sister to live with us, we have a spare bedroom that like never gets used. Her response to that was "well maybe until I find my own place". So I took that as a no. haha. She's coming tomorrow to sign some papers at the school and get her keys and look at an apartment.

Echo - We're not sure if she'll be in the same town as us or not. We don't actually live in the town where DH's school is, we live in the next one over. She'll be within a 10-15 minute radius of us, though, which is much closer than the 2.5 hours she is now!

  • That is probably just as well she isn't living with you. It would be kinda weird (if I were in her shoes) that way you have all the fun of a near by sister and none of the frustrations of living together.

  • It's finally Friday y'all! Thank goodness.

It's been a long one for me. I am not used to working 5 10 hr days. It's definitely manageable but long when you aren't used to it :-).

Good thing next week is a 3 day week for me. How is 4th of July in one week? It feels like it should be 2 or 3 away!

    Watcha up to this weekend?
    image
    DD born 1.25.15

  • I can't believe next week is the 4th already! This summer is going by very quickly!!

Those are some long days, Aggie!

I don't think we're doing much this weekend. It's my last one off for like three weeks so I'm hoping we'll do something fun!

Seriously! Canada day is Tuesday ;)

That's nice to have your sister close but not too close;)

Tomorrow we have a wedding. My sister and bil are coming down to watch the boys. They're bringing their daughter who's 1 so they'll have 2.5 year old, 1 year old and 6 month old! Fun!! They're pregnant again though so it's good practice.

I have no idea what to wear for this wedding. For some reason my shins are bruised to heck so short dresses will be odd. I have one maxi dress - black and white stripes from target! Super comfy! (I'm wearing it in my fb profile pic). So I might wear it...I dunno....I think I want something a bit more dressy but I dunno. I have to decide tonight though so we shall see
