"When you are parents"
Because we are totally on our way to being approved!!!!
SW was amazing. We loved her. She came in, asked a few qs about our home, and then she and I sat down to talk about my upbringing. DH joined us and we chatted about IF, our marriage, etc, then she and DH chatted about his upbringing. We ended the night with a tour of our home (she didn't inspect my Tupperware drawer or notice the banana tree I bought...because I felt like people should have banana trees in their kitchen - adoption crazy). She said that at this point she is just waiting for some forms for us, but she didn't see anything that screamed "bad parenting," so we can start saying "when" and not "if" in reference to being parents!!!
Woooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
Best part? DH and I spent 10 days in Switzerland two summers ago with my parents, and when we mentioned that, she got really excited. We spent 20 minutes chatting about the country because her husband was born there, they were married there, and they visit it every two years! Travel geek moment!
And our shy kitty cat actually hung out in the living room, and our crazy dog was super mellow. The stars aligned!
