Any one have any recs for dog boarding? Typically my mom watches Deuce, but she has a puppy and doesn't think she can handle both. We're in the Robinson area, but are heading to Erie in mid-July, so anywhere in the west or north would make for an easy drop off.
Re: Dog Boarding
Off the Zelienople exit (actually the exit past Cranberry and before Zelie - drawing a blank on the name)... we used Bamar Farm Kennel.

They are a little hard to get a hold of - leave a message, though, and she will call you back.. it may take a second call, though. We were very happy with them, the several times we used them. They are not even 3 minutes off the exit of 79N. And the cost was around $18/19 per night if you provide the food.

Bradford Hills in Wexford is good.
I think I have heard Camp Bow Wow is good too...but my memory is fuzzy on that one.
Also in case you are unfamiliar with pet boarding (I know I am since DH handles it) I think you need to take proof with you that Deuce is current on vaccinations.
Yes, you're right. And the Boardatella shot needs to be within the past 6 months (but I believe it takes 30 days after the shot before the dog is considered protected). Might want to double-check on that - my memory is fuzzy.

They also told us that they're looking to get a Doberman as their next dog, so I feel like he will get some extra attention from them because of that.
I know he had his initial Bordatella shots, but is due for his yearly. I hope it's not needed a month in advance...because he's only getting them on Thursday. I haven't found anything to confirm that (although I did read some interesting articles on how the shot doesn't actually prevent the disease...)
Thanks for the suggestions!
