How close are you with your cousins? Has it always been that way?

Super duper close to my mom and step dads side. I am an only child so I craved closeness. My mom has 7 brother and sisters. My mom is the middle child and is the glue that holds the family together so from that I have an easy time being close. There are a few cousins that just don't come to things but Im still feel a closeness from being raised together. Two of them were my MOH's, I actually refer to them as my sisters. Their dad is my godfather. My step father has only one niece and nephew and the moment we meet 16 years ago we hit it off and do a lot together. I consider them my best friends. My dad's side, Im the baby of the cousins and my dad is not super close to his brothers, so I see them a few times a year and love them but its not the same as I am with my mom!

I only have 5 first cousins.. and no we aren't very close at all. I lived in the same City as 3 of them for 11 years, and saw them maybe once a year. Now that i've moved, i never seem them. The other 2 live quite a decent distance away, and we try to get together when we can.

I have 3 second cousins that i'm way closer with. They're my mom's cousins kids.

My dad had 2 siblings, and my mom had 2, one of which passed away when i was quite young. For the size of our immediate family, we really aren't that close at all...

I have 9 cousins on my dad's side and 9 on my mom's side. I have not really close with any of them. I would say I am closest to one of my cousin's from my dad's side because we are only a few months apart but I have realized that she is pretty much a brat. They shunned my dad when he divorced my mom and got remarried. Trust me, the divorce was a long time coming. I generally avoid the cousins on my mom's side like the plague. They are pretty much all trouble makers who will mooch off you and use you in a heartbeat.

I have 8 cousins on my dad's side and I'm close to all except 3 of them. But those 3 aren't close to anyone. The rest of us are super close and keep up with each other very regularly. 1 of them is my best friend and was my MOH. On my mom's side I have 4 and I'm very close to them all except 1 and she is older. Then the rest are younger than me. 1 is just a few years younger and she is basically my little sister that I never had. I'm her MOH for her wedding next year and she was in my wedding. The other 2 are sisters and they are much younger than us by 10+ years I see them every summer, Christmas, and Spring Break when they are out of school. They live 5 hours away so they spend their breaks here and come stay with me and my mom.

I have 5 cousins total, and I'm the baby out of all of them. I'm not super close to any of them. We basically saw them at holidays and now at weddings or other big events.

H isn't very close with his cousins either. They all grew up really far apart.

I am not super close with any of my cousins. I was closer with most of them when I was little. My dad's side of the family is huge and he has brother's that he never even talks to (it is a lot of drama). The 1st cousins that I do see, I generally only see on holidays or at family reunions.

I'm not close with any of them. We don't talk to my dad's side of the family so I don't even know them. My mom is one of 7 so I have a lot of cousins on her side but we all live really far apart plus our ages are weird. There are a bunch that are older than I am and then a bunch that are younger and I'm sort of in the middle by myself. H, however, is super close to his cousins so I'm growing closer of them too.
