Sinc I'm taking tomorrow off from the regular posts, today's questions are:
1. What's going on for the weekend?
2. Are fireworks legal where you live?
my read shelf:
Re: QOTD 7/3
1.) DH's family does their own firework display in middle of no where Wisconsin. So we will be going to that. Grilling out during the day, fireworks at night.
2.) They were just legalized a few years back. They used to be illegal, but since I'm on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin a lot of people would just cross the border to get fireworks. Liquor stores are also closed on Sundays in MN, not not in WI.
Fireworks are illegal but as pp said, if you aren't being annoying no one cares. I live on the border of PA. It's illegal in both States but you can buy fireworks in PA if you have a MD license. And vice versa. So funny going to my parent's house and seeing a sea of MD tags at the fireworks shop on the border.
As for fireworks, they are illegal here in NY but that doesn't stop people from lighting them off.
Yep, they are illegal here.
Fireworks are illegal where we live, but most people don't mind them for the 4th. There's one city in our county where they're legal and the next county up where H works has them legal. Working at one of those stores was H's first job.
2. Negative to my knowledge. H and I have made road trips before over the border to obtain them though.
Tomorrow ILs are coming. FIL is going to help out with work at the house. MIL and I are going returning and purchasing some things that we didn't get at the shower but we need.
Sunday are maternity photos!!! I am so excited. They were H's birthday gift to me. After that, just relaxing and getting H ready for the work week.
2. Fireworks are not legal here. My neighbor somehow gets professional mortars and they are amazing. The one neighbor who used to call the police moved to Florida. My neighbor sets them off in his backyard and obviously the police see them, they're huge, but I don't think they can do anything because they can't come into the yard. We'll see if the weather holds out. It's raining pretty steady right now.
