4th of July weekend plans?

What is everyone doing this weekend?

Re: 4th of July weekend plans?

  • Friday- Not sure, we were supposed to go a a picnic but the weather's supposed to be rainy I think so I may just stay home or go to my parents.

Saturday- Going to a friends house

Sunday- Working a few hours OT for some system testing at work, and hopefully paddleboarding or kayaking on the river.

    Sleeping in too!

  • Friday - going to the gym.  May go riding.  DH works 3pm-midnight.  If I'm super bored, I'll venture out to my parents to watch the fireworks with them.

Saturday - going to the gym.  May go riding again.  DH works again 3pm-midnight

Sunday - I'm not sure if I have to work or not.  2 softball games.

Same as @jessica490....sleeping in as well!

  • Friday: sleeping in somewhat, but starting our mini vacation to our friend's home and hanging out with them. They live 3 hours away. Hopefully catch the fireworks if the rain doesn't reach them, then heading to Albany, NY to sleep at a hotel.

Saturday: Making our way to Times Square area and having an enjoyable day seeing the sights. This is my first time actually in New York so I'm pretty excited about that. Sleeping in Times Square that night.

Sunday: Heading to Coney Island for a few hours, then heading home. DH starts working 3rd shift that night, so I'll be making the almost 4 hour drive home while he gets his beauty sleep, haha.

  • Low key weekend for sure...

Tonight we might see some fireworks in town. We just moved here on Monday so we want to start going to towny events :)

Friday we will most likely stay indoors and continue to unpack. A storm is a-coming so I doubt we will do much else.

Saturday we're having some family visit the new places

Sunday...maybe go shopping for some new housewares...even though we proooobably shouldn't be spending money right now...

Hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend!

This afternoon - I just fired off this ridiculous memo to a partner, and I'm basically the only one at the office.  So I'm leaving early, exercising, and then working on packing.

Friday - grilling out, then fireworks.  We can see the city fireworks from my office - perfect, unobstructed view!

    Saturday - baseball game

    Sunday - no plans

  • We are going to have an awesome weekend.
Friday we have a party to go to for the 4th.
Saturday we are going to put in an offer on the house we want. Later that evening the community we will be moving to is having a community event so we are going back for that.
Sunday we will probably just be relaxing and doing nothing.

DH is running the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, then we're going to our friend's pig roast with the kids, then maybe we'll be able to take long naps and go out for fireworks that night. :)
  • We are going to our friends house for a BBQ later on today.

DH is working Saturday, I will be catching up on some laundry and cleaning up a bit.

Weather permitting, I want to go for a hike sometime this weekend, but it does not look too promising.

  • @Vikingsfan 71713‌ good luck on your offer!

Last night we went out for a friend's birthday. It was fun, until a friend offered me a bite of carrot ginger soup without mentioning it had cashews in it too. I had to take two Benadryl and go right home. Serves me right for not being more diligent about my allergy.

Today our party was cancelled due to rain, so I'm going to work on a couple of grant proposals and do some cleaning.

Tomorrow we have our party at a friend's, and it's supposed to be beautiful out!

Sunday will be church and packing. We finally set our moving date for 7/30, so it's time to get cracking!
  • we are still in sanibel all weekend.  We are going to see fireworks tonight and just relax and shop on the island the remaining of the time
