  • Congratulations!!!!!! I take my licensure exam in the fall and I'm already nervous haha.

It is an awful test and I took it 5 times, but I don't technically count one of those since I was pregnant and had mommy memory loss. The best advice i can give is take as many practice tests as possible.

Thank you for the advice. Usually I've been hearing "It's just a test, you've got this, no big deal" etc. Which is untrue, because I can barely afford to take it the first time haha. My test is probably not nearly as difficult as yours though (LMFT, living in a state with ridiculous requirements) so I'm impressed!

Personally I think they are all stupid and meant just to collect money. Most students go through so much schooling and practicums that they know their stuff so these tests really test nothing in my opinion. I am sure you will pass your LMFT test. I don't know if I can help in any way, but if i can let me know.

I completely agree with you. I was one of the top of my class, yet the material for the exam is daunting. I feel as if I am studying all new material. We learned a lot of feminist theories, for example, and I haven't found any practice questions on that topic so far.

That is exactly how ours is. We have a whole section on IO psychology and I never learned anything about that in school. It is crazy what they expect your to know which you will never need.

So frustrating. A national exam cannot possibly cover what each individual program at different schools across the country are teaching.
