Changed My Tax Withholdings!

Just thought I'd share that I changed my tax withholdings at work so it will increase my paycheck and reduce my tax return!  Also, it'll be effective this Friday's paycheck. :)

  • Yay! I did the same thing after we got our tax return back. I did it to have MA taken out along with RI (I didn't do that last year, and we so happily gave MA $1000 in taxes).

    Yay! I did the same thing after we got our tax return back. I did it to have MA taken out along with RI (I didn't do that last year, and we so happily gave MA $1000 in taxes). 

    Oh man! Glad you also made the switch! We just kept getting higher tax returns and we do have two kids and daycare, so it was time to do it so I'm excited for the higher paychecks.

    Ugh my job wouldn't let me do this because we're super-small and they didn't want to "register" with MA. Such a pain! Hopefully it will be easier after we move and H's job will be able to withhold RI. We owed MA around $1000 too; this year we're doing quarterly payments.

    @Mom987‌ sounds like the right call! This board has really brought me around to the "more money now" perspective-I've always been all about the refunds.
