Who's been to Aruba?
With all this talk of vacations on the board, I'm beginning planning our trip to Aruba next summer. We will be staying in Orenjasted, Aruba, at a resort with another couple. We are going with my best friend and her husband, whose parents have a timeshare that we will get to use (so virtually no expense for the lodging, just flights).
Any suggestions for what to do/where to go/things to see? It's been a long time since I've been out of the country, let alone to somewhere tropical like this! I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Re: Who's been to Aruba?
1) Get certified at home. Usually the course takes about two weekends, and is lots of fun.
2) Do the pool and classroom part of your certification at home, and the ocean dives in Aruba. Your dive shop at home could help set that up.
3) Don't get certified, but sign up for an outing called "Discover SCUBA diving" or "Try SCUBA" on your trip. These are legitimate quick diving experiences that give you the info you need to do a shallow dive with an instructor close at hand. Just make sure your dive shop is recognized by one of the major agencies (PADI, NAUI, or SSI). You can set this up at most hotels once you arrive.
If diving is not for you for whatever reason, I'd at least snorkel. It's an amazingly beautiful world down there! Have fun!
