NMMR: Weekend Plans and a Facebook Face-Palm
Good morning ladies and gents! Just saw something on FB that needs sharing, and since I'm not active on TK anymore I'm sharing it here.
We're going to a wedding tonight for H's little cousin who is 18 and just graduated HS. She's a sweet girl and we wish them all the best, but I am in a part of the country where getting married so young is very unusual so it has caused a bit of a stir among friends and family. This morning she posted a message to the effect of "Hi everyone! As you know, today is our wedding day. You have all been so supportive that we would like to invite all of you to attend the ceremony at TIME at CHURCH. Everyone is welcome at the ceremony."
Big face-palm. I know she means well and reallllyyyyy hope this doesn't backfire on her. I know she has a pretty big HS friend group and am not surprised she couldn't invite them all. Le sigh.
Anyway, what's everyone else up to this weekend?

Yikes, thats young! I, myself couldn't have made such a decision at that young of an age...I was still very immature.
Friday- Bringing pizza to the parents house and going shopping with my mom
Saturday- Kayaking, lunch and possibly river tubing with some friends
Sunday- Probably cleaning/laundry, gym, biking or walking
Next week Tues/Wed- We are staying overnight at the casino and then going to Newport, RI the next day. Can't wait! A mini vacay haha.
Ds is 1 today so tonight we may take him out for ice cream or something to celebrate. Tomorrow then is his party. And on Sunday dh wants to drive to the new house to see what progress they have made this week. My sister is getting back into town tonight so we may take her with to show her the area
Ok, thanks! I haven't been there in over 15 years so i don't remember anything from there
I'm planning to remain holed up in my office working on my dissertation. Tomorrow, I have to make a run to the grocery and stop at Big Lots for their 20% off sale. I like to stock up on paper products when they do those extra discounts.
Should be a pretty quiet (and cheap) weekend...

Today: Friday evenings are boring for me since DH works M-F nights. I'll probably go out for a jog after work and then watch tv or something, assuming I get motivated to actually do some work today. I work from home and some days it's really hard to get motivated when you're just sitting at home by yourself day after day.
Saturday: Early Morning Kayaking with DH, back in time to watch the Brazil World Cup Game (not even sure I want to watch it after seeing my home team get totally destroyed in their last game, lol)
Sunday: DH has his monthly massage, so I'm planning on driving him there and doing some shopping at our local Brazilian stores to pick up some food staples while he's doing that. We're having some friends over to watch the World Cup final that afternoon, and will probably end up playing a pick-up soccer game afterwards.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Today - relaxing until my doctor's appt. I start my every 2 weeks appts. I feel like I just found out! Then writing thank you cards while watching Netflix.
Saturday - cleaning then buy buy baby to pick up the stroller / car seat.
Sunday - ikea for nursery furniture. I've been saving for it, but I know it's gonna be a good chunk of change.
As for the wedding in general, I try not to stress the age. I mean they have decent jobs lined up, she's enrolled in college, and they have a place to live and a budget, which is more than some late-20s couples. I do feel bad for H's reaction, though. He'd never let it on to her, but he's got a protective older brother relationship to her and is really worried/a little sad about this wedding. I told him I'll DD
@katiecutie05 Oh trust me, there definitely isn't a whole lot of energy there. I have to exercise in the morning otherwise I'm done for. My goal is to train for a run a half marathon at 20 weeks, then I will just do my regular 6-8 mile long runs up until my body doesn't like it. However, I usually exercise 5-6 days/week. So this is the norm for me.
As far as maternity clothes, my pants definitely don't button and I just pulled out the bellaband for my dress pants yesterday. That thing is amazing!
