What "only in Pittsburgh" things do you love, hate, indifferent?
Re: Pittsburgh things
Love: cookie tables
Hate: stink bugs
Indifferent: the Pittsburgh left
If you saw the size of the cockroaches, tree beetles and mosquitoes down here in Texas, you would MISS the stinkbugs! lol
I love the fact that Pittsburgh is such a family-friendly city and so easy to get around. I felt at home there!
My three sons!
Hate: The yinzers (the ones who give us a bad name...)
Indifferent: Primanti's
Hate: Tunnel Traffic
Indifferent: Mister Rodgers
How time flies! Caileigh (9), Keira (6) & Eamon (3)
Hate: The Pittsburgh Left, the constant need for people to try to give their right of way away, and the horrific merging skills of many drivers. I think though all of this stems from my comment above, people are so nice here. I need a little cut throat-ness in my driving, um please?
Indifferent: Perogies (they are kind of bland IMO)
LOL, I think there are multiple definitions. it seems to be either you drift out into the middle of the intersection when the light turns green (even though you don't have the right of way) so that you can gun it as soon as you do (or make a sharp left right as the light is changing to red) OR you gun it as soon as the light turns green, thus basically cutting off the person who does have the right of way.

I'm pretty sure that first one is an accepted way of making left turns pretty much anywhere. If you didn't do that and there wasn't a protected left turn and lots of traffic, how would you ever turn? That second one is just crap though. How about people who randomly stop in the middle of the street to let someone turn in front of them? That's not just annoying, it's dangerous.
