Canadian Ladies!

Alright, so H and I are looking to do one more big trip next summer before we start TTC. We're looking at flying to Vegas, staying there a few days, and then flying up to Calgary and going to Banff National Park. I was curious as to if any of you ladies who live in Canada have been (maybe some of you who aren't from Canada have been and can make suggestions!) and if there are any suggestions you have for how long you should spend there, if there's stuff to do other than sightseeing (which looks super gorgeous), tips for making the trip easier, etc. I'm really excited!

Re: Canadian Ladies!

  • I've never been to Banff but I've heard it's very touristy.  Are you apart of AAA?  We have CAA in Canada and they offer guidebooks for specific areas like Banff.  My mom and I planned a road trip to the east coast using a CAA book, which had lots of tourist attractions, natural sights to see and offered a list of places to eat and sleep at discounted rates. good luck!

  • My dad has wanted to stay in Banff for many years, after seeing it in a World Showcase video in Epcot in Disney World.  My parents drove there a few years back and said it was gorgeous.  They also said it was very touristy.  I think it was expensive to stay in Banff, but you're looking early enough to get deals.  My dad doesn't like to plan and will just show up somewhere and hope there's a room.  He usually doesn't plan ahead/make reservations.
