I am trying to decide if I want to book a cruise I found. It is an awesome deal. Only 179 per person before taxes and fees. It leaves Miami on November 3 and goes around Bahamas for 4 nights. It is on the Norwegian Sky, an older smaller ship. I would be going with my parents and I would bring Liliana (who will be 16 months at the time of the cruise).
I am apprehensive about it because I don't know how easy/difficult it will be with the baby. Plus in order to afford it the baby and I will have to share a small cabin with my parents who both snore very loudly.
I know several of you cruise all the time, so can you help me to make this decision? Will be too hard with Liliana? She really is a good baby, but I am not sure if the small cabin will be too hard with her. I wish we could get our own cabin, or that DH could come but he can't due to his work schedule.
Should I go ahead and book it or pass and save the money?
Re: May book a cruise
However, I really don't think I'd want to put more than 2 adults in an inside cabin. Honestly, I don't think I'd want to put more than 1 sometimes. The fact that there would be three of you, plus a baby, I'd have to either *really* like the people I was staying with or virtually never be in the cabin except to sleep.
Also, don't forget about airfare.....;)
My opinion would be to pass or get my own cabin.
On the good note, NCL is running a "kids" sail free promo right now. All 3rd-8th passengers are "free" paying only port fees and taxes.
P.S. I loved the Sky!
I'm glad you liked the Sky! Did you do the 4 night itinerary through the Bahamas ?

We did the Aquaventure one which included the waterpark and felt it was worth the money. Heads up, the locker rentals are CC only. No cash.
Right now we are looking at around 1500 for 4 of us in two cabins, before airfare.

From what I've seen on NCL they have a kids club that Liliana should be able to go too as long as you are with her.

As for whether to get it......I bought it for the first cruise. Not for the second two. If you do buy it, I suggest doing so within 15-days of putting down your deposit to get "cancel for any reason" coverage.
Here's a couple places to look:

I've been in balconies, suites, and insides. And yes, while all cabins are small compared to the suites, putting 4 people into an inside doesn't make for fun times in my opinion. A balcony on the Sky is about 200 sq ft. An inside is anywhere from 121-147 sq ft. The beds for her parents would be together, Tara would be in a pullman bed (ie. bunk bed on the wall). They can get a trundle bed for her daughter.
If I might make a suggestion. The Sky has connecting inside staterooms. You might try to get one of those if you can.
Pics.....;)

Expedia may have a group rate. Some travel agencies (yes, Expedia is one) will list the fare, but not the taxes so they look cheaper. I'm sure there's other reasons I haven't thought of.
