the hot tub...
Our house we bought in 2012 came with a hot tub the previous owners installed outside underneath an upper deck. It was a 2005 and yesterday a guy and his crew came and removed it and took it away. It was in great shape except for a broken pump and we couldn't get any money for it from him since we're in MN and there's an overflow of hot tubs here, but just that he hauled it off FOR FREE is AWESOME.
We had used it up until the pump went out last fall. With the chemicals, maintenance and added electricity costs to heat it gone...we are SO happy!
So aside from debts, do you gals/guys have any things in your home/property that you think are burdens and want to be free from??
Re: We are FINALLY Free from...
However there is this built in desk to the wall in our hallway. It takes up a ton of space and while five years ago it worked great for the overnight shifts we do once in awhile the rules have changed so now it just takes up space. I would love to pull it off the wall but the school wants to keep it functioning for some odd reason.

This! I have the most random room and crap in said room because of my live-in position.
Though I have a storage unit that has furniture in it that my aunt gave me(stuff she wanted to replace with new) when I was in college that I want to get rid of(and get rid of that monthly payment) but my aunt would be crushed and my mother would never let me hear the end of it. I'm going to pull the trigger soon though. I can't justify $40 a month so my aunt who hasn't ever come to visit can feel better.
Ugh!
We are finally free from the cost of formula (well at least until we have #2!) but DS is one, so as soon as his tummy is better we are going to milk. Not as exciting as some of the rest of yours but, oh well.
@emily1004 Wish we lived near each other- I would love to buy some discounted scrapbook stuff. I had just gotten started on DS's when we put the house on the market and I had to pack it up. I'm excited to get into our new house and have a place to set my stuff up and work!
We actually used it quite a bit here in MN in summer and winter. But, when the pump died and DH said it would be a $400-$500 fix, we decided that over time it was too much hassle and maintenance to take care of.
Plus, the previous owners of the home, who had the thing installed, while they bought an AWESOME spa back in 2005 (the guy removing it said that the one we have would have retailed for $12k brand new), put it in a bad spot. We have a heavily wooded backyard - it's basically forest backing up to a lake, and we get all the cute woodland creatures who like warm places in winter time (last winter during that Arctic Vortex, we had a night when the wind chill was -54). Anyway, the owners put the spa against the house - like 6" from it and then encased it in decking. Then, they built a deck over top of it (about 12' above it), so it was in the damp, dark, behind the house. When we moved in - it smelled like mouse urine all the time back there until DH and FIL spent a whole weekend uncasing it from decking and cleaning out the interior panels and removing critters.
If the pump hadn't died we would probably have kept it until it did need a major repair.
We're almost done with diapers. She is doing well during the day with potty training. No accidents in 3 weeks. We are still putting a diaper on her at night as she still wakes a little wet. I can't wait until I no longer have to buy diapers!
My goal before we travel to GA in the fall is to be diaper free!!! Travel will be so much easier!
