Re: How Many Wears Before You Wash Your...

  • Jeans? Depends on what I do in them.. usually 3-4, but sometimes I can go more, sometimes I wash them after 1 wear. Just depends on if I'm sittin' pretty or doing something outside or whatever. Same with shorts

Pants? Dress pants? Umm... not nearly often enough I'm sure.. maybe 5-6 unless they get something on them, of course.

Shirts? tshirts - usually 1 or 2, dress shirts, 4-5, unless they get dirty or I sweat in them

Pajamas? 6-7. I usually wear the same top to bed for a week or so, then switch.

Bras? whenever I feel like they need it.. probably like 5-6 wears maybe. Or less if I get sweaty

    Other clothes?

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

  • Jeans? 1 - wash every time
Pants? 1 - wash every time
Shirts? 1 - wash every time
Pajamas? Wear for 3 nights, then switch out.
Bras? 1 - wash every time
Other clothes? Gym clothes are definitely a 1 time use too.
I'm not asking about socks or undies because I am ASSUMING those get washed every time. I hope. - I can't wear the same socks or underwear again, even in the same day.  So if I run in the morning, then take my socks off and am barefoot through the house.  I can't put those same socks back on for a walk later.  Same with underwear.  If I take them off to lounge around the rest of the day, then new ones go on if we go somewhere later.

Let's just say that I do a lot of laundry.

  • Jeans?
3-4 wears and then they go in on delicate and are hung to dry. If they are noticeably dirty after a wear or two, I will wash then right away.

    Pants?
1-2 wears. The school I work in is very dusty.

    Shirts?
1 wear unless it's dry clean only.

    Pajamas?
1 wear, which seems kind of wasteful, but I sweat at night.

    Bras?
    2-3 wears

    Other clothes?
Cardigans are every 2-3 wears unless they lose shape quickly. Depending on the dress, they get washed every 2 wears.

I'm not asking about socks or undies because I am ASSUMING those get washed every time. I hope.

Jeans? 2-3 wears.  It also depends on their dirtiness/what I'm doing in them.

    Pants? 2 wears

    Shirts? 1 wear

Pajamas? I don't know for sure, maybe 3-4 wears?

Bras? 2-3 wears, but I take the good ones off as soon as I get home and wear the old ones around the house.

  • Jeans? I wash them once a week but I don't wear them for the full 7 days so it's probably 3-4 wears.

Pants? Dress pants I will wash when I've worn them a few times OR they're dirty OR they're wrinkled.

Shirts? Gym shirts are 1 wear, t-shirts are 1-2, other shirts are 2-3.

Pajamas? I usually wear 2 pairs per week so I'm gonna say 3-4 wears.

Bras? I am so so so bad with bras. I wash them when they feel stretched out or when they smell. Sports bras I will wear twice unless they smelllllll.

Other clothes? Anything else is usually dry clean. Dresses for events will get worn more than once unless I sweat in them or spill something.

I'm not asking about socks or undies because I am ASSUMING those get washed every time. I hope. I hate socks and I hate undies. I rarely wear either but yes, they are one wear.

  • Jeans? Whenever they are dirty or feel stretched out, otherwise probably every 4-5 wears.

Pajamas? Whenever I do laundry (about 1x a week).

Bras? about every 5-6 wears, or when smelly. Sports bras are every wear, sometimes 2 wears.

  • Jeans? I usually have about 3 pairs and will do laundry about every other weekend in the winter, so I guess 5ish wears

    Pants? What are those?

Shirts? One wear, unless I only wore it for a quick trip out of the house, then I'll hang it up to re-wear later.

Pajamas? Until they're stinky or I do laundry

    Bras? A bunch. Maybe 6-8?

Other clothes? I put off washing dresses and sweaters until 2-3 wears if possible

I'm not asking about socks or undies because I am ASSUMING those get washed every time. I hope. Yep, those go in the laundry every time. The only exception is if I wore socks for just a few hours, got home and took them off, then go for a run later. I'll re-use almost-clean socks for a workout.
