  • This morning I found out I had been screwed twice before I even finished my coffee.  One of my sponsors for my upcoming exhibit changed jobs which means that the funding is most likely gone now.  She was footing the bill for the panel printing, and I was counting on that money from her because I had other things in mind for the money she was saving us.  How did I find out?  A LinkedIn post telling me to "congratulate her on her new job."  Fuck.  Also, the museum director has volunteered me to give a lecture (on a topic I am in no way an expert) in September, because you know, things like that just come together instantaneously and I don't have any other shit on my plate right now.

Did I mention today is my day off?

I'm reconsidering go back to a company I swore I'd never work at again just because it's relatively close to my house.

  • Speaking of periods.  I really, really hate when it comes up suddenly, seemingly out of the blue.  I don't usually have to tracks since I'm like clockwork, but wanted to shout, "ALREADY?" In the work bathroom this morning.  Fuck periods, man.

  • A job just opened up that my husband has been waiting for it to become available.  He's a stagehand and currently gets his jobs through a call center, so the work can come at a moment's notice.  This job would be a permanent stagehand position at a theater.  So much finger crossing here.

  • One of my coworkers put in her notice yesterday, I'm really happy about it because she sucks out loud.  I should feel guilty for being so happy but I'm not sorry, she just bitches about everything and I can't hide my bitch face any longer.

She totally put in her notice in a shady way, she left a note while our boss was in a meeting and she's not upset because he's upset about it.  Well of course he is, you don't break up with a job you've had for 6 years in a note.

Sharing a small office with two other people can be difficult, especially when these two were friends before working together. Hearing from your boss that they are now complaining that you are not a team player and appear standoffish because you choose to work with earphones in while listening to music to block their conversations out is rage worthy. Earphones were not an issue before this temp was hired.

I get red and splotchy when I get angry. So even if I could hide my outrage on my face, my body gives me away every single time.

Update: I contacted the sponsor, and she has assured me she will let the department head at the college know about our agreement.  Whew.  Crisis #1 hopefully averted.

Along this same line... After a "cranky" moment, MH will ask, "Are you better now?  Are  you done being cranky?"  I want to freakin' punch him and yell, "I WAS UNTIL YOU ASKED!!!"

Just let it go!  If a person who was cranky seems better... DON'T ASK ANY QUESTIONS!!!

ETA - Can you tell this happened again last night?  ;)

  • I'm going to a going away party this weekend for friends of ours who are moving to Europe. I volunteered to bring a crackers and cheese platter. I'm kind of excited to go shopping at Wegmans because of their awesome selection. Yea cheese!

  • I know, a lot of people don't see what the big deal is until they actually go to Wegmans. I'm not crazy for everything there but it is an awesome place to shop, especially the prepared food when I am too lazy to cook
