weekend plans post!

Anyone have anything fun going on this weekend?

Tonight: not too much, Brian is in Denver for the weekend for his sister's fiance's bachelor party and my mom is coming up to keep us company.  we'll probably just hang out tonight, she and I will relax wtih the DVR once the boys are in bed :)

Sat: weather-permitting, we hope to head down to either the strip or the point in the morning just to walk around and get out of the house for a bit.  no afternoon plans, other than me heading out to grocery shop while she watches the boys.

Sun: Jake has a double header of birthday parties because his social life is more exciting than mine!!  My mom is staying with Liam while I run him to both of those parties, which are back to back.  good times!! :)

Re: weekend plans post!

  • Tonight - my work is hosting a tailgate party and Pirates game. I'm looking forward to showing off my kids and taking them to a game.

DH is taking the kids to his mom's house for longer than I want to be away from home, after traveling the past two weekends, so I'm not going.

I'm having my hair colored (for the first time since being pregnant with H!) and working on pattern writing & knitting photography. I'll also need to go to the grocery, catch up on laundry and try to sleep in on Sunday. Plus attending a trunk show to see fabric that my friends are selling in their new business. I have a massage scheduled, too. :-)

  • We're still at the beach and have to make the drive home tomorrow. :( as soon as we get home we have an engagement party/bridal shower to go to.

Sunday Logan has a birthday party to go to and probably a lot of readjusting to real life.
    image
  • Tonight my girl and I have a dinner/shopping date.

Tomorrow I'm planning on going to hot yoga in the morning and then we're going out to my dad's in the evening to see a bunch of work he had done on his house.

Sunday we don't have much planned except I might go to yoga in the evening again.
  • Tonight - not sure, the kids have the last night of VBS so I don't know what DH and I will do to occupy our time!  The possibilities are endless!

Tomorrow - zumba in the morning, clean and get all of the clothes and other things we haven't put away from vacation yet away.  My dryer broke the day before we left on vacation, so I had to take all of our dirty vacation clothes to my parents house on Wed and wash/dry them there.   So I feel like there are laundry baskets of clothes everywhere.  DH thinks he can fix the dryer, so I hope he does that on Sat, too.  He's also going to a Pirates game Saturday evening, so the kids and I will rent a movie or something low key.

Sunday - WW, church, seeing Begin Again (with Adam Levine) with Meghan! Visiting my aunt who was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and isn't well.
  • Tonight: after work, I am going to get a mani/pedi and run to Target. I think we are going to go to dinner after.

Saturday: We are going to a wedding. It is going to be a late night.

Sunday: Trunk show and probably go see my BIL play at the Polish Hill Arts Fest. Really I just want baby snuggles. :x

  • I have been looking forward to this weekend all month, because the few plans that I have are fun ones!

Tonight: Nada! Probably dinner outside and catching up on some episodes of Drunk History (our new favorite show, it is hysterical).

Saturday: Getting my hair done with Amy & Michelle!  I am thinking of doing something drastic, we'll see how brave I am when Saturday gets here.  I might also try to squeeze in a massage and/or a pedi.

Sunday: I am going to stop by a fabric trunk show, then heading to see the Adam Levine movie with Amber!

My parents are coming in today for a weekend visit.

We will cook and hang out with them tonight.

Saturday we will all walk to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (no rain please!) and then out to dinner, tentatively planned for the North Side

Sunday DH and dad go to pvgp while mom and I go shopping.  Mom may also help me organize some cabinets since she likes doing it and I appreciate her organization skills.
  • today DH and Madi are off to Kennywood with my brother and sister in law and niece. Boo I am have to work (from home) and will stay home with Julia. Probably when they get home we will go to church festival.

tomorrow.... DH wants to go to camp. I have no plans with the girls.

    Sunday no plans either. wahoo.

  • Tonight - my in-laws are in town to do work on my sister in law's house. I may see them if they can fit us in. Solo parenting. Casey probably won't be home from work until sometime on Saturday morning.

Tomorrow - Solo parenting while Casey sleeps. We have a friend's birthday party to go to in the early afternoon. We're just stopping by b/c we'll have G with us and it's more of an adult-oriented party. I ordered a small version of our wedding cake from Bethel Bakery to celebrate our 10th anniversary (yesterday) so I'm going to pick that up in the morning and surprise Casey with it after we leave said party. My parents and in-laws will probably join us.

Sunday - I'm not sure. I bought a used play kitchen for G which I'm picking up on Tuesday so I need to weed out toys and make some room for it. It's a really nice kitchen with a ton of food and dishes/pots pans/food for $35. I really hope he likes it. I feel like he never plays with his toys. Solo parenting in the afternoon. Casey is going to play Dungeons and Dragons with his friends (yes, you read that right).

    Have a great weekend all!

I saw your pins and was hoping you were going short! Go for it. This is coming from the girl who has been hemming and hawing about cutting her hair for months.  :P But really it is because I can't find the right cut.

I really, REALLY want to do it.  My main concerns are: 1. I have very thin/fine hair, I also have several bald spots as the result of alopecia, so I don't know if my hair will lay right with a cut like that and I am worried I won't know how to style it.  2. I hate my neck and double chin, so I am worried about exposing it.  I am hopeful that my stylist will do her magic though.
  • My issue is that most short cuts actually work BETTER with fine hair and not my thick straight hair that turns into a helmet.

Your stylist is magic, I am sure you'll end up with a great cut.

Ditto this, Ryan!  We have had our play kitchen since before Garrett was even born, and it still gets played with by both boys.

Play kitchen has always been a huge hit (and long lasting) with kids I know.
    Nice bargain pricing!
  • TGIF - longest week ever!

Tonight - grilling pizzas for dinner and then I want to hang out by the pool and have some drinks and relax .

Tomorrow- I guess the weather is supposed to be crappy so we probably won't be swimming. I'll probably do some cleaning, laundry , and I may go out to buy some plants for my landscaping I'm trying to get done. Then in the evening the kids are sleeping over DH's aunt 's house and we are going out to dinner and to see the movie Sex Tape.

Sunday- pick up the kids- then not sure what else since the weather isn't supposed to be great again. Maybe try to go to round hill or a playground or something if it's nice enough.

  • Tonight: Cleaning and unpacking from our trip to Erie earlier this week.

Tomorrow: My aunt, uncle 2 cousins and my grandfather are coming to visit/see our house.  They will stay until Sunday.  They really just want to spend time with the kids, so we'll stick close to home and do some grilling.

  • We own the kids a miniature golf outing, so we need to fit that in somewhere.  And I am going to meet my new nephew at some point.  It's all very unorganized.

  • Tonight - going to my niece's b-day party

Saturday - Graduation party for my cousin

Sunday - no plans, maybe try to go to the zoo or living treasures
