Weekly Workouts

Sorry ladies I dropped the ball this week.  How did everyone do?

Re: Weekly Workouts

  • Last week was great...4 30DS workouts (1 level 1, 3 level 2) and a 30 min yoga YouTube video.

This week has been kind of lame...only 2 workouts this week. Well, 3 if you count cleaning the whole house, haha! Hopefully, I can get in a 30DS workout tomorrow morning.

  • I have gone to the gym every day this week. I went to 2 Zumba classes and a yoga class. I also did a leg workout with DH and did the treadmill every day except Wednesday. Tonight is another Yoga class and cardio. I may do Zumba tomorrow too.

  • I'm having terrible sciatica pain.  I've been lazy.

  • Got a ton of walking in while on vacation. And I hit up the resort's exercise facilities while there and did some swimming too.

  • I made it to the gym Sunday, Monday and Thursday for workouts with my trainer. Tuesday I worked out at home while the baby napped, i bought the 21 day fix so i started the first DVD, i was looking for something i could do during her nap time when i cant get to the gym and would also give me time to shower.
Tomorrow we leave for the beach and I packed my gym stuff so that I can either run, or do some sort of exercise. I think i may pack the 21 day fix, my sister said she would do it with me.

  • I went to the gym Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and did some laps in the pool on Monday.  I'm working out tonight, but at home since my parents are out of town and we don't have a sitter for the girls.

I've been doing a ton of research online about training for a fitness competition and it's so overwhelming.  I'm sure with more research and time, I would eventually figure out a good diet and workout regimen that would work for me, but I'd rather not waste my time.  I pulled the trigger on hiring a coach last night.  It's actually a husband and wife team that both compete and have been recommended all over the fitness industry.  I'm excited to get started with them!

My cousin's friend competed in one of those competitions. I think she's a Phys. Ed. major (or something similar) in college. It looked like so much work, but she was totally ripped for the competition! I'm pretty sure she won!

  • H and I did the obstacle course in our neighborhood three times this week. We have also gone in at least 2 mile walks every day this week.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy training, but I'm hoping it'll get me in the best shape of my life!  Plus, I want to prove to myself that I'm strong enough to do something like this.

  • Worked out last night and this morning. We bought a Bowflex MaxTrainer before we sold our house but between moving and using the gym, we hadn't gotten a chance to try it out. I highly recommend getting one if you're in the market for an at-home machine. H and I both did the 14 minute interval training and it kicked our butts harder than the ellipticals at the gym.

  • I find it really hard to get motivated to work out.  Especially since I started working because I'm working shifts.  Does anyone have tips to get and stay motivated?

I know people say exercising releases endorphins but I usually don't feel exceptionally awesome afterwards, nor do I feel bummed.  I just feel neutral.  But I am breaking a sweat and everything!

  • For me, it's a mental thing to get and stay motivated. You won't do something unless you want to. That goes for everything, not just working out.

If it's something you really want to do, then set goals and commit to them. I think once you get into a routine, it becomes easier too.
