Weekend Plans

Heyyyo it's Friday again. Praise the Lord. It's been a long week. Coming back after a holiday is always the worst.

What's everyone up to this weekend? DH and I are headed to a friend's wedding tonight, which should be fun, but have to get back into town early tomorrow morning for CPR training. Then tomorrow night is Starry Nights at one of the local vineyards - live music and picnic food and wine - one of my favorite things to do in the summer! Sunday will be a lazy day filled with naps. It will be glorious.

@LCostel - Looks like you are getting close to having that baby!! How are you feeling?

It has been a long week. I'm over it. I'm not sure what we are doing this weekend. We spent all of last weekend working on remodeling the garage, so I really need to catch up on housework. And work in the garden because that's been neglected too. But everything is growing like crazy!!

Tonight, I have to work my part-time job. Ugh! I haven't had a night at home to relax in well over a week! I'm not sure what DH will be doing...probably going to a friends.

Tomorrow - I have two softball games. It's make-ups from some of the rainouts we've had. I've had so many games cancelled this year due to the rain! I'll be done around 1pm, so who knows what DH and I will get into after that.

Sunday - I'm not sure if I have to work or not yet. But I have 2 softball games in the evening, and DH has to work 2pm-10pm.

Tonight H and I are going to see a movie. Probably Transformers.

I work Saturday and Sunday. H will be able to play games and relax while I'm gone.

H and I are going to our weekly pho Friday spot for dinner and then "Planet of the Apes."
Tomorrow I'll get some pool time in (hoping it doesn't rain) and do a deep-clean of the house. Why do men not see the dirt and filth? Just because things are relatively put away doesn't mean the bathroom tile isn't gross, the kitchen floor doesn't need scrubbed and the refrigerator shelves aren't grimy.
Sunday ... not sure. Probably still cleaning. Shockingly, I'm very much looking forward to this activity.

@sdose13 - I know! Whenever I tell him I'm going to spend some time cleaning he says "Well, it's not that bad it should only take you a few minutes." Seriously?

@ky29 yeah -- due date is coming up quick! I've been feeling okay, just staying inside whenever possible since it's starting to get pretty hot out. The nursery is mostly prepped, so we're ready for her whenever she decides to make her appearance!

What do you guys have growing in your garden this year? We've always done cherry tomatoes which are my favorite, but got a late start this year and haven't had much luck. That's awesome that you've got so much stuff growing though!

@LCostel‌ - I tried a little bit of everything... Herbs, sugar snap peas, garlic, tomatoes, watermelon, bell peppers, jalapeños, banana peppers, cantaloupe, onions, strawberries, green beans, carrots, potatoes (red, russet & sweet), broccoli, lettuce and cucumbers.. Yikes. It sounds like a lot but I just did a little of everything to see what works and what we like. I didn't do cherry tomatoes, but I will next year - I really like them. And I want to try corn. What else do you have in yours?

@ky29 we do herbs inside every year. Also usually do a couple different kinds of heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, and jalapenos/chili peppers.

We don't have a lot of yard space, so we're limited to what can grow in pots. I'm so jealous of your spread though! Do you have any pictures?

Hello! I'm not up to anything this weekend. I dropped H at the airport this morning and he's gone until Sunday for his grandfather's funeral. I'm not sure what to do with myself... I feel like I should go drive to the beach or something. I can have whatever I want for dinner. But what do I want?!

I need a life.
