Hello all,
Our dog Allie (a Miniature Schnauzer/Yorkie mix) loves lazing in the sun, but we currently live in an apartment without any private outdoor space. However, we are getting ready to move into an apartment with a private balcony, and I would love to build or buy a container to plant a little puppy yard for her, so she can go outside and lay whenever she'd like.
I'm looking for tips what type of container to use, how best to drain, and what type of soil, so I've also posted this in the gardening forum, but I'm also looking for tips on good grasses for pets. I don't want to plant something that will make her sick when she inevitably munches a bit when she's outside, but I don't know about planting a grass that is intended to be eaten (e.g. cat grass), since she might end up using the bathroom out there sometimes. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Sydnee
