Another rec
A while ago I recommended "Dreams and Shadows" by C. Robert Cargill and judging by the lack of response in that thread, I'm going to assume that nobody has read it. Last week I finished the sequel, "Queen of the Dark Things," and I loved it even more than the first book. You guys should check this guy out. He's GOOD.
According to the author's website, the series sold in a two-book deal, and what happens after that remains to be seen. I know firsthand what that really means: the publisher will want a third if sales are strong enough. If not, the series is done. I *really* hope it's the former, because I love Colby and Yashar.
I'm not sure what genre this series belongs in, so I'm labeling it "darkly humorous contemporary-fantasy crossover." Sounds awesome, no?
