Re: Getting Healthy Check In

  • 1) Goals? To gain muscle and tone.  To not emotional eat when I am anxious or things get rough

    2) How has your progress been this week?  This week was BAD!
But, I'm back on the horse today and recommitted.
    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Do some type of exercise daily.  Eat clean 80/20.

    4) Best part of your week? I won my healthy habits challenge (tied for first, and we split the money)!  I spent part of it on the Tone it Up meal plan and one of their exercise videos.  Also, DH is finally getting on board with being healthier.  He is a skinny guy, so he doesn't think that all of this pertains to him.

    5) Worst part of your week?  I totally fell off the wagon.  I ate like crap and got sick while doing it.  My body is so not used to all the terrible food I consumed last week.  Let's just say...Mexican and Zumba do not mix!

QOTW: What are your motivating factors for losing weight/getting healthy?  Knowing where I was before, and how unhappy I was with the way I looked.  I think this is what has pushed DH to get on board with me.  He knows how much better I am feeling, so he wants to help me continue to feel good about myself.

    1) Goals? Lose 60 by 40 (February)

    2) How has your progress been this week? Shitty.  I ate a lot of crap.  I couldn't seem to stop snacking.  I didn't gain anything, but I didn't lose.  I'm feeling better about this week and am definitely more disciplined.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Body by Vi

    4) Best part of your week? DH and I had a nice relaxing weekend.

    5) Worst part of your week? The eating.

QOTW: What are your motivating factors for losing weight/getting healthy? As I get a little older, I worry about my health, and I hate the way I look.

    1) Goals? Lose 45 lbs first, 100 total.

    2) How has your progress been this week? Crappalappa ding dong. No gain, no loss. Too many events/too much food/too many people telling me eattttt, eatttttt.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Body by Vi.

    4) Best part of your week? I had a really nice weekend with Tom and friends.

    5) Worst part of your week? The crappalappa ding dong eating.

QOTW: What are your motivating factors for losing weight/getting healthy? First things first, I have to lose weight (the first 45 lbs) just for treatment. And not doing it is not an option, soooooo....
Also, for general health reasons. I'm not old but as I get older, it's harder to lose and/or maintain. I also want to be around for said kid above. And I hate when my face looks like a full moon.

  • 1) Goals? Lose 86 lbs.

    2) How has your progress been this week? It was ok. I ate a lot of processed crap on Saturday and my body wasn't liking it.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Tracking on MFP and cardio a few times per week.

    4) Best part of your week? Seeing a .6 lb loss on the scale. Not a huge loss but still a loss!

    5) Worst part of your week? Feeling crappy after eating a bunch of bad food on Saturday.

QOTW: What are your motivating factors for losing weight/getting healthy? I am still hoping that losing weight might help to regulate my cycles. I want to be healthy for my husband and my future children. I want to like the way I look in pictures. I want cheaper clothing options.

    1) Goals? Lose 20 lbs

    2) How has your progress been this week?  Ehh, I am doing ok.  I do really well on the week days--the weekends kill me.  This weekend I ate fast food twice--and I paid for it.  I felt terrible afterward!

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)?  Clean eating and working out 5x a week.

    4) Best part of your week?  Went to the local gym to rejoin--the owners are out of town so the sweet gal working said I can workout for free this week!

    5) Worst part of your week? Sorta non-related--but I begin Provera tomorrow so AF should show up.  I am hoping I stay motivated and take advantage of my free week at the gym!

QOTW: What are your motivating factors for losing weight/getting healthy?  I don't like how I look.  I hate how out of shape I am.  Plus, if we have to do treatments, I will need to be in better shape.

    1) Goals? Get in good enough shape to participate in a fitness competition.

    2) How has your progress been this week? Really, really good.  I didn't cheat once or skip a workout.  I also signed up with a coach and she put me on a new diet and workout plan.  Best part - there's no cardio involved right now!!  Yay!

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Diet wise, I'm tracking macros now so my goals are 130g of Protein, 155g of Carbs and 35g of Fat per day.  For working out, I'll be doing 2 days on, 1 day off.  She sent me a workout regimen that looks challenging, but I'm excited about it!

    4) Best part of your week? Signing up with the trainer.  I don't feel so lost anymore.  Also, my free meal for the week was amazing!  I had a strawberry shortcake doughnut!

    5) Worst part of your week? Seeing my husband cheat all week on his diet.  Don't tell me you are going to be good and follow a diet and then cheat over and over, right in front of me!

QOTW: What are your motivating factors for losing weight/getting healthy? I want to be happy with the way that I look and feel.  I want to maintain a healthy lifestyle and hopefully it helps with IF stuff.

    1) Goals?
To lose a total of about 25 - 30 lbs

    2) How has your progress been this week?
I'm going to weigh in tomorrow, but as far as carb and sugar progress... not great.  We need to go grocery shopping bad.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)?
Tracking calories and going for walks / to the gym.  I need to firm up my exercise plans so I can make a better commitment.  Also trying to go low carb and low sugar.

    4) Best part of your week?
Provera brought me my period.  I've never been so happy to get one.

    5) Worst part of your week?
Not any one thing, but I am having a really hard time sticking to low sugar.  Low carb will be easier I think.

QOTW: What are your motivating factors for losing weight/getting healthy?
Hopefully regulating my cycles and controlling PCOS is now added on, plus feeling better about how I look and losing the belly and slimming my arms.

    1) Goals? Not to eat all the things.  Or really, just try to not over eat, not go back for seconds during meals.

ETA: haha I thought you meant my goal for the week (not eat all the things).  Overall, my short term goal is 20lbs, long term needs to be at least 60lbs.

    2) How has your progress been this week? Last week I got on the treadmill 4 out of 5 days and was able to do 2 sets of c25k in a row.

    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)?  Weight watchers, running c25k, my work has started a second weight loss challenge.

    4) Best part of your week?  We're getting ready to go to the beach for 3 weekends (this coming weekend with the ILs, then the following weekend/week/8 days with my sister, BIL, and niece and nephew)

    5) Worst part of your week? I ate 16 points worth of Reese's Pieces today. O_o

QOTW: What are your motivating factors for losing weight/getting healthy?  we'd like to be healthier for our kids.  Plus, I'd like to weigh a little less when we start TTC #2 (probably in 8 months or so).

  • 1) Goals? Eat well and exercise consistently. I would also like to lose a little weight.
    2) How has your progress been this week? Eating-wise, not bad. I managed to avoid any total lapses in self control until Saturday. I'm still not fitting in any exercise.
    3) What is your "plan" (diet, workout regime, etc)? Eat a plant-based diet. Get some type of exercise daily.
    4) Best part of your week? My new highlights!
    5) Worst part of your week? Bottle of wine, by myself. On Saturday night.
QOTW: What are your motivating factors for losing weight/getting healthy? The older I get the more this transitions from the way I look to my health.
