Fitness Post

How is everyone doing?

I have totally been slacking.  I've been doing okay with my eating, but I've been a little lazy and skipping out on my workouts.  I am hoping this week I will turn it around!

  • Ugh. Awful. When I tried to get back to exercising I started bleeding and wound up in the hospital. All is fine now, but I'm still stuck at square one. I have plans to do some walking on Thursday, so hopefully that helps. Maybe a swimming class at the gym on Saturday. It's just amazing to me how completely different this pregnancy is from Logan. I was in such great shape with him and I can barely walk steps this time!!

    I'm sorry you've had such a difficult time this pregnancy sarah! I hope swimming helps you get some exercise in.

    I hurt my back and didn't do much running last week, but I did get in some elliptical and walking, so something.

    I convinced Steve to buy an elliptical machine this weekend, and it gets delivered and assembled on Thursday! I'm so excited about it! The elliptical is the main reason I drag myself to the gym, and I'm putting it in the playroom, near a TV, so I truly think I'll use this addition to the family :)

  • Sarah-so sorry to hear about that, I am glad everything is ok!!

    Last week was good, I had gone back to my fitness classes at work after having to take 2 weeks off with pneumonia...it was brutal, it's amazing what a difference 2 weeks can make!!  But over the weekend, I was having chest pain again and didn't go to the class yesterday :(  I'm hoping to make it back tomorrow, even if I modify the exercises so that it's not quite as strenuous.

  • Aw, Sarah, I hope things get easier for you soon!

    I did hot yoga a couple times last week and will be going tonight. She kicked our butts Sunday night and for the first time in a couple weeks - I felt sore yesterday. I know that's good as it worked different muscles- but I felt old:P 
  • Well I did go for a walk last thursday. Tried to jog some but had the baby in the stroller (not a jogger) and failed miserably. Our neighborhood is pretty hilly also. So that didn't help. Haven't done anything since. Fell off the wagon eating too. And just can't get back on. Ugh. I think becuase vacation is under 2 weeks away that I just am in the mindset to wait until after. Ha.

    I did order this dvd workout set on babysteals today called Moms into Fitness. Has 8 dvds or something and another postnatal workout dvd. Well over 1/2 off but I better do or DH is going to start flipping out that I am buying stuff I never use. haha.

  • 3 Zumba classes last week. Finally! Went for a walk/run with dd. We are doing a local color run this weekend so wanted to take her out beforehand some! Sunday I got in a jog without the dog so really tried to work on some speed. I feel like I've been so slow lately. I did 5K in 27:30 which was 15 seconds off my fastest. But I swear my fastest must have been a fluke! I really just wanted to get under 28 minutes so I was pretty happy about that.

    Last night dd biked 1.5 miles and I ran with her. Zumba tonight

  • I signed myself up for the Mario Lemieux 6.6k race in October. Have no choice now but to do C25k or something similar. I really want to run/jog the entire race. And I can't wait to get my medal! :)
  • I didn't realize they announced the Mario race. I wanted to do last year but had already signed up for one that same day. Was 8 weeks pregnant at that point too. :)
  • They announced it yesterday. Signed up immediately to avoid chickening out. :) It is Sunday, October 5 this year.
