Sports Bra rec?

Until I got NTFU, I had little to no boobs. I blissfully ran and worked out pain free in the cheapest ones I could find. Now, I am in a new state of bliss, happily pregnant with new boobs, but the cheapies are not cutting it anymore. I need to know your favorite sports bras, and what I should be looking for in one- now, later, and post-baby. I plan on only buying one or two now, and waiting on buying more, but any advice is helpful. Thanks!

Re: Sports Bra rec?

  • I bought mine from Kohls, surprisingly great! Champion but they come in cup sizes which is what I need rather than S, M, L. Mine has a little under wire in it and a clasp back so it can adjust with growth and support at the same time.

Since getting these heavy pregnancy boobs, I just wear 2 sports bras.  Definitely go through more of them than I did before, but they compact the girls well and is better than wearing a regular bra plus a sports bra.

I pretty much wear one of these...

    Underneath this one...

  • C9 bra from target.  It's one of the reversible ones.

  • Ditto pb&fluff, but that's also for my pre-pregnancy IBTs. I'm confident they'd still support my pregnancy boobs well (I went up 2 cup sizes to a C), but I'd probably go try one on and jump up and down in the fitting room a bit to see how it feels.

I was also always happy with the 2 VSX sports bras I have. I got both on sale/clearance though, because those suckers are expensive!

Well that is the one I was trying to post a link to, but it wasn't working.  They have some fun colors too.

  • The c9 looks nice but I doubt it would hold up my melons. I'm already a DD so I need like monster bra.

  • I grew 2 cups sizes to a D with my first pregnancy and invested in two Champion ones from the Platex/Bali outlet near me. They come in cup/band sizes and different levels of support as well. I got the max support ones and although I feel like I need to dislocate a shoulder to get them on/off, they hold everything so well. Running in them is so much better than in anything else I've ever had, even when I was smaller.

Thank you so much ladies for all the fabulous recommendations and feedback. I can't wait to go shopping!
  • @sewilson33 I found the only thing that contained my DD's were a regular bra with a sports bra over it.

I hate boobs! The sports bra I have now is really good but I will have to get a size up in a few months.

Agree!  My DD's were the worst with trying to find a bra for exercise.  Even now they're back to a D and heavier than when they were DD's and I weighed more.  But for some reason they're in a completely different shape than they were then.  So the larger bras I kept for this reason, won't even work.

    Boobs are so unmanageable.

DH doesn't get it! In the morning I'm like no touching for at least 30 minutes after my boobs have readjusted themselves. They are so heavy and sore and different... I swear they have to adjust to my body in the morning. I can't even think about 8 months from now!

I found it helpful to wear a bra to bed, and it would lessen the impact at night and in the morning.  I picked up these ones from Target.  http://www.target.com/p/gilligan-o-malley-women-s-2-pack-nursing-sleep-bra/-/A-14055276#prodSlot=medium_1_4

They seemed to have gotten better within the last week, but they're still sore and H has to take caution if he wants to touch them.
