Currently H is head over heels for the school we are in. We live on campus and opening my own is not an option. The only local daycare is run by the Headmasters daughter who is only 29 and she wont be going anywhere. I do really love my office job so as of now I am looking into that.

    Worst paying: Victoria's Secret
Dream Job: Working for a Judge or "Lady who lunches". J/K (But not really kidding) ;)
Current Job: Bankruptcy & Consumer Law Paralegal
Fun Fact: My last career, I worked as an assignment editor and news producer. It was really interesting, but the pay and hours sucked. If you are going to be in the business, you have to eat, sleep, and breathe news. I just didn't have it in me.

  • Best Job: In HS and College I worked in the Mid Continent Library local branch.  Super flexible with my college schedule.  You could pick your own hours and days you wanted off.
Worst Job:  A tie between NY and Co. and Kmart…I'm really not a retail person
Worst paying:  My first year at the library as a page back in 1997 - $4.75 per hour
    Dream Job:  Current Job
Current Job: SAHM to our 3 year old, Violin and Viola Teacher, Viola performer in our trio…..it's a lot all at one time but I feel I have a great balance of it all.  I can be a mommy and get my creative/professional outlet too.

    Worst paying: Said corn fields
    Dream Job:A sex therapist
Current Job:A school counselor at an elementary school.
  • Best Job: I loved working at our local bank. First I was a teller (loved our customers) then I was a Security Administrative Assistant, worked part time to be with my daughter when she was an infant, and made a decent pay at the time.
    Worst Job: Sears
Worst paying: McDonalds, but it was my first job and I was only working less than 15 hours a week.
Dream Job: Owning my own Architect Business

  • Best Job: My last teaching job. The team was amazing, the admin was incredibly supportive, and most of the kids were there for the right reason. Having to call a parent for a negative reason was an abnormality, generally if I called/got a call it was for something positive.

Worst Job: My first teaching job. The kids ran the school, I had to do metal detector duty once a week, had to break up fights because other teachers would just run and hide, and had some kids who just didn't give a damn. They saw no value to education, and unfortunately several of them are already in jail based on what I've heard from other teachers who are still there.

Worst paying: babysitting. I think I got paid $10 to watch 2 kids for a day- now I'm paying a sitter up to $10 an hour- wow did we get screwed when we were younger!

Dream Job: Museum currator/ archeologist/ something to actually use my history degree 'in action' as opposed to teaching I would like to be doing. Not sure I will ever get there though, but that's okay because I still like teaching and want to go back to that some day too.

Current Job: SAHM. This really is my best job, but I don't really consider it a job as much as a huge change of lifestyle. I love watching Colton explore and grow, and wouldn't give that up for the world!

  • I haven't been around much lately but I'll bite.

Best Job: Working at the governor's office back in my home state. I loved it, got to meet lots of people and go to fundraisers and other events. For 19 year old college me, it was awesome!

Worst Job: Telephone "Fundraiser". Basically it was a telemarketing job in a call center that called people on behalf of various non-profits to ask people to renew their memberships or donate money. This was at the height of the recession and I only took the job because it was close to my college campus and I wanted to prove to my parents that it's possible to work and go to college at the same time  (my parents are very against working and going to school. lol.). I ended up quitting after a few months because it was such a toxic environment. Met some very interesting people that I wouldn't have otherwise though!

Worst paying: Paralegal at a Legal Services office. Loved the job and the people but it was mentally draining and heartbreaking at times because we dealt with a lot of abuse cases, wrongful evictions among other things. I would probably still be working there if I hadn't moved out of state.

Dream Job: Either a writer or something that I could actually use my degrees (History, Anthropology and Poli Sci) for. Being an archaeologist would be cool, or I would like to get back into the political process/campaigning somehow.

Current Job: Online Marketing Coordinator. Basically I work on advertising things through social media and blogging. The pay isn't great but working from home is a big plus, although moving to a new state and working from home is not very conducive to meeting people and making friends...that's my only complaint!
  • Best Job: current
    Worst Job: coffee shop barista
    Worst paying: see above
Dream Job: wedding/event planner-bonus I get to do this as a board member for the NFP Ballet Company I work with :)
Current Job: Clinical Trials Coordinator. I take care of all the regulatory side of things for non-industry sponsored trials in my research center. I submit all infomation for IRB (board that oversees research on human subjects), and coordinate contracting and updates with funding agencies. I also recruit and follow patients in clinical trials.

  • Best Job: I like my real job now. Though I have the most fun with my Direct Sales Job.

Worst Job: Hallmark aka Card Hell! I watched(and helped) people spend ridiculous amounts of money on stuff they didn't need. Literally, there are NO necessities in a Hallmark store. It made me sick. That and the people I worked with were all Stepford.

Worst paying: Work Study in College($5.15 an hour) but it gave me the best experience and references.

Dream Job: Philanthropist or Event Planner

Current Job: I run a Title IV program at a Division 1 University. I Moonlight as a Frat Mom and I do Direct Sales on the side.

  • Best Job: Current job as a SAHM. Awww. Aside from the mushy heart stuff, I find this job very enjoyable. I find that I use more skills and talents in this role than ever before!

Worst Job: Mall jewelry store sales associate.

Worst Paying: Waitress my junior summer of HS.

Dream Job: SAHM and a budget conscious interior designer to help other families make nests.

Current Job: See above - SAHM.

  • Best job - I love my current job but it is extremely demanding and now with 2 kids, it's crazy but I still love it most days Worst job - waitress. That was just awful. Worst paying - my first job was in retail and it paid $4.10/hour (minimum wage at the time) Dream job - SAHM or teacher - my job now is way to demanding, I would love to SAH or have a job with hours that work well with being a mom. Plus, I love the teaching aspect of my current job Current job - HR executive

I'm a little late to this game, but here goes...

Best Job: lifeguard (with the exception of the persistent sun damage!)

Worst Job: between undergrad and grad school, I worked in the Intellectual Property department of a large law firm, where I did pretty much nothing. I *might* have done a full days work the entire summer. It was beyond boring, and terrible.

Worst paying: lifeguard, but hey, I was a teenager and all that money pretty much went directly to Abercrombie & Fitch.

    Dream Job: retirement

    Current Job: philanthropic fundraiser

  • Best Job: I loved working as a library aide at my old college. I basically sat around and read books/did my homework for my entire shift. No one ever came into the library, but when they did I always knew them (small school), so I got paid to do homework and talk to friends! Worst Job: I worked at JCPenney's for about four months between high school graduation and starting college. They had just created a new position, so I basically worked from 7 AM to 3 PM everyday scanning items in the back stock room and moving them to the floor. I had no interaction with other humans, and most of the time I would have everything restocked by 9 AM before the store even opened, so I had to pretend to be busy until 3 PM. Worst Paying: Most of my jobs, besides my current one, have basically been minimum wage since they were during high school and the beginning of college. I would say JCP was the worst because they didn't even give me a few cents above minimum wage. Dream Job: To travel the world recording dying languages or languages used my remote groups. I would also like to be a Speech Language Pathologist, which I'm starting school for soon. Current Job: I'm a nanny, which I love, and I will probably continue to be one at least until I graduate from undergrad, but probably until I'm finished with my master's program. I'm also a student.
