  • Sometimes. It depends on what it is. I definitely can be emotional!

    Anniversary

  • With random things.  I had a box of concert tickets but when we bought the house something spilled on them in the moved.  I was way more upset about it than I should have been.
  • Yes!  I save a lot of stuff for weird sentimental reasons (like a shirt I wore to my first show, or the tag from the first bouquet of flowers H got me).  But then when I get super angry or annoyed at anything I do a big purge of all my stuff and usually throw it a lot out.  Bur I still have everything H has ever given me.

  • Yeah, I'm pretty sentimental.  I don't hold onto everything, but I'll keep certain things that were given to me.  Like, birthday cards that my dad wrote something nice in and anything that H gives me.

  • Not about stuff, but about memories, if that makes sense.  I'm definitely a crier, though.

  • Yes. I save everything! I have a box per year pretty much that I put stuff in. Don't  worry, I'm not that organized. A lot of times I get the box and then stuff piles up in our spare bedroom until I clean it...so that will be this week as I turn it into a nursrey. (hopefully) But there are bins in my basement of ridiculous things labeled "australia" "honeymoon" with things like corks from champagne bottles, wristbands, movie tickets, hotel pens etc. DH calls me a hoarder...He on the other hand has a whole room with fishing stuff, ropes, etc. that he "might need" someday. He is also a hoarder. I say this slightly jokingly b/c his dad actually is. like piles of newspaper hallways, broken bits of dishes, random plastic bag piles etc. At least my trash has senitmental value?

  • Eh, sometimes, but not really. I want to be, but I rarely hold onto things. I enjoy looking through old photos and stuff like that, but I don't typically hang onto movie stubs, etc. Really important, yes. I kept our flight tickets for the honeymoon and our engagement wine bottle cork.

  • Yes, but not about everything. I'm extremely sentimental about things that were my great-grandmother's...I used one of her hankies to wrap my bouquet and had one of her rings pinned to it. A necklace that H brought me from Thailand broke, and I cried for days! On the other hand, there's stuff that I don't mind throwing out because memories are more important than things.

  • Absolutely. I hang on to stupid stuff from trips and other events, and I cry about random things. Music especially. It's the worst at Christmas. Christmas music always gets me nostalgic and teary. And I am a souvenir junkie. I always want to have SOMETHING to remind me of places I've gone. Consequently there are bits and pieces of Japan scattered all over my apartment and my office. I bought so much completely random stuff on that trip, just so I could remember EVERYTHING I did there.

  • I'm pretty sentimental. I try and save little things from every trip so I can remember everything. Usually stuff piles up and I wind up tossing half of it anyway lol.
  • Not overly. I keep things and then in a year or two i'll go through them and if it doesn't evoke nostalgia it gets tossed.

  • Very!
If it's not the fact that I still have a shoe box with various newspaper clippings and movie stubs, it's the fact that I constantly am linking memories with music.

  • Yes I am.  I have every card H has given me, even cards from flower deliveries that aren't in his hand writing.  I have every concert ticket to every show that I have attended.  Same for Broadway and other theater shows.  I still have all of the bridal shower and wedding cards and the baby shower cards are sitting on the coffee table.  I looked at them yesterday, thought, "I should get rid of these," followed by "The shower was a few weeks ago, I still should keep them."  I am going to cart a lot of garbage from the apartment to the house...
  • Nope, not at all. I'm even terrible about taking pictures.

And now you all probably think I'm a terrible person.
