Insert the usual here.

P.S.  I'm only posting this because it's past noon and it hasn't come up yet.  Sorry, Ali.

Kindle reading Nora Roberts Land by Ava Miles and Opal Fire by Barbra Annino

I think Ali might be vacationing? I remember seeing some updates on FB.
  • Making my way slowly through The Book of Life.  Not because it sucks but because I know this is it for Diana and Matthew's story and I'm not ready to let go.

My audiobook loan for The Fires of Heaven ran out and I have a big sad.  I was enjoying listening to it on my commute and now I'm #2 in the queue.  How is that possible?  This book is 20 years old!!

  • Love Life by Rob Lowe - it's okay.  I really enjoyed his first one, Stories I Only Tell My Friends and this one isn't as good yet, but I'm hoping it will get better.  I've heard good things about it.

Also reading Resist by Sarah Crossan which is the sequel to Breathe.  I'm nearly done with it and it's pretty good.

They are 35 and 36 of 52 for the year.

  • I finally picked up Written in My Own Heart's Blood again and I'm loving it.  It is #45 for the year.

  • I'm reading Hidden Riches by Nora Roberts because I told my grandmother I couldn't find anything to read that was keeping my attention.  She gave it to me with the disclaimer that she "skims over the sex parts."  LOL OK, Grandmother.

  • Listening to Carry the One on audiobook and hopefully squeezing in the last half of Code Name Verity this weekend in between packing boxes.

  • I can't read more than one book at once--it would fry my brain.
I am reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone and when I'm done, I'll start the HP reread, most likely.

I had downloaded Looking for Alaska audiobook for work, but I've been busy and distracted so I stopped listening because I was missing HUGE chunks of it.

     "Live like there's no midnight."

  • I am a big old reading mess today.

I just finished my re-read of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone..  I just decided to quit The Blood of Heaven.  I am ignoring Infidel (which I am supposed to read for my IRL bookclub). and I just started The Book of Life and The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair this morning.

I don't know what the hell I am doing.  I am having commitment issues.

  • I finished the book that @84Lauren had asked me to read to see if I thought it was as bad as she thought it was.  Yes, the book was THAT BAD.  It led to a long text full of ranting.

(I'm not sure if that sentence even makes sense, but junewhatevs.)

Since then, I haven't read very much.

  • I should finish Dr. Sleep this weekend maybe.  I started it so long ago and finally picked it back up during a car trip last week.

I am ignoring The King.  I don't know why I can't get into it.  I love the BDB!  I don't care about any of the side characters and find myself skimming parts.  I've renewed the library loan twice so I need to get moving or quit because I can't renew it again.

  • I just started my re-read of HP HBP this morning. I'm not reading anything else until I finish my final paper.

I felt the same way about the Book of Life. I love those characters so much and I am so sad that this was the last book.

I'm Whispersyncing Under the Dome, which makes it much easier to move through such a long book.

I've also got House of Velvet and Glass going (just hit 60%) and it's starting to get good.

I'm doing a re-read of the Harry Potter series and am on book four.  I will read Book of Life once I'm done with Goblet of Fire and then will continue onto Order of Phoenix (my absolute favorite)!

  • Currently on the Piper's Son, which is depressing, but not bad.  The next on the list is the Goldfinch.  The Piper's Son is number 8 this year.  I'm only a little behind my 24 goal. LOL.  Outlander took longer than I thought it would.

  • I've been reading and listening to The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt. Man, she's great. I can see how some people think it goes slowly but it's just her style and luckily I'm in the mood for it.

I've been walking around with Ruin and Rising for the last week, marked it as "currently-reading" but I haven't even opened it yet.
