Tank tops

I like to wear them under pretty much everything. I have old ones that I got at Kohls and just got some new ones at Target. I feel that they are too short and that my back is always hanging out.

So I am wondering who wears them and where do you get them from?

Re: Tank tops

  • I always get mine from TJ Maxx or Marshalls.  I have the opposite problem as you - they are always way too long!

  • Tank tops are my BFF. My favorite ones I got at Costco honestly, but they don't carry them anymore. I prefer the ones with built in bras for when I don't feel like wearing a bra after work, etc. The ones they carry now don't have the built in bras :(.

  • I always wear them, too!! I have a few from target, I like the ribbed tanks from there, they seem to be a little longer (I have a freakishly long torso). My favorites that are long are from Old Navy. They're the smooth ones, not ribbed. I believe they're called the Tami. Make sure to check them closely though, I accidentally got a girls instead of a womens once and it was really unfortunate. haha.

  • Another vote for Old Navy. They're so long that I was able to wear most of them during my pregnancy. I just bought a tami and I'm in love with it. So long. So soft.

  • Charlotte Russe Extra Long tank tops and H&M tank tops! some of my maternity shirts are a little short, but those still aren't! I put one on once with a cardigan while my pants were in the dryer (no ironing ever for me! haha) and DH said my outfit was cute. I literally had no pants on and he thought that I was wearing a dress. Note- I am 5'4".

  • I have a few from all over the place. I had a couple leftover that I got for cheap when I still was working at Gander Mountain. I also had a couple that I got from Aeropostale that I was using to wear under some thinner button up shirts that I had.

The last couple tanks I got, I wound up getting at Walmart. I had wanted to pack some for vacation and realized at the last minute how few I actually had, so I wound up making a last minute shopping run two days beforehand.

  • I used to wear Jockey tank tops.  They fit perfectly, were the perfect length and it didn't show, no matter what was over it.  I went to replace them in the fall and they were discontinued.

For maternity, I got these fabulous tank tops from Target.  I hate wearing clothes, they are the only tops I can stand to have directly on my stomach.  The tank tops I bought only come in maternity.  I was ready to buy a bunch for after the baby.  I'm disappointed.

They are long enough to layer, but not too long. Thick enough to not be see through, but not too thick where they're bulky. The straps are thick enough to wear with a thicker strapped bra, but not awkwardly thick.  They come in a million different colors.  I probably wear one of these at least 4 days a week under whatever else I have on.  These are probably my biggest closet staple, I own probably 20 of them

  • I like the ribbed ones from Old Navy.  I bought several in college and still wear them.  They come down to my bum if stretched out, which is nice for layering.
