Oops! It's July!!

So, totally forgot to post this months resolution challenge!!  Sorry about that!  It's also time for the 3rd quarter challenge.

July's challenge is Do Something Educational or Informative.  This quarters challenge is Work On A Bad Habit.

Since we never checked in on last months and quarters challenge when it ended, how did everyone do?  It was Have a Weekend With H Only and Do Something Sexy For Your H.

Re: Oops! It's July!!

  • For last months challenge, it was definitely a little harder than it would have been if we were in our own home but I was able to complete the challenge.  He jokes around with me saying he'd love it if I were to perform a certain act while he played video games, so I decided to deliver on that and let's just say he didn't play the game for too long.

We were able to have a couple of weekends, just him and I before we moved out of our home, but we didn't do anything special.  I'm asking for a postponement on this one since I just booked us a weekend away in September to NOLA.  We're really looking forward to it!

As for this months challenge, I have no idea what I should do for the something educational.  I've been wanting to focus some more time with my stepdaughters on math and reading, so I may do that.

And for the quarterly challenge, I am definitely working on that already.  I've made the decision to start training for the fitness competition, so I am working on eating better and working out consistently and making it a lifestyle.

  • Ooh, this month's challenge does sounds tricky.  I don't really have any bad habits to work on for this quarter's challenge...maybe I'll work on being more motivated to do housework.

  • I did pretty well with the last month/quarter goals.

For the educational/informative one I'll have to think about that.

Bad habit would definitely be biting my nails!!!

  • I did finally put on something sexy for DH and came onto him.  I haven't done anything like that since prepregnancy so he was pretty excied about it.  We had a couple weekends at home just the two if us, ordered movies, and had chinese food in the livingroom like a picnic.

This month I need to get moving on the classes I'll need for an in home daycare.  Plus I think DH will need a birth class or something.  He didn't believe me that babies have a soft spot.  Also he thinks there is no need to go to the hospital until the water breaks.

I have about 413545164 bad habits.  I'll have to pick one and really work on it.

  • I failed last quarter. We never have a full weekend due to his work schedule, and hahaha sex/sexy?! What's that?!

I'm taking a newborn care class next month, and breastfeeding class. I'm already working on a bad habit - biting my nails. I usually get acrylics but that's not going to work with a newborn. Do I got jamberry nail wraps. I love them! I just need to pick my thumbs acrylics off and I have them on all my nails. So many colors and designs!

  • I technically got around to both before the baby got here. I have a zillion bad habits so I should be able to pick one to change. Educational...does online module prep for school count?

  • I had an educational/informative activity while on my trip. H's aunt took us to go on a tour of the Celestial Seasonings tea factory. I had been before when I was in high school. But it was neat to get to relearn about stuff and have it in more recent memory.

The bad habit one may be a challenge. Only definite one I would love to conquer would be my nail biting. I was doing amazingly after the wedding (probably because I still had remnants of fake nail glue on)
I'm not sure what else I could do though to combat it.

  • I am beginning to get out of the bad habit of making excuses as to why I can't go to the gym. While I haven't been perfect I have been a lot better.

As for the learning part, I haven't done anything. I might get out my camera

  • I've been working on my 6th sense this month a lot. ;)  Had a super scary experience so I had to contact someone for help.  It was fine just startling.

Bad habit - I have a ton of them, seriously I'm surprised DH puts up with it.  Anyway, one of them is to leave crap out on the bathroom sink.  I've been working really hard at putting away my hair brush, make up, contact case each time I use them.  I've been doing great with it.  DH complains about it all the time.  I've been good for like 3 weeks about putting things away and he is yet to notice.  Must not have been bothering him that badly.

    Willing to share this experience?

  • yes, @goatlady12, share if you don't mind!!

I've been working on my bad habit of not rinsing out my milk glasses before putting them away. It was apparently driving H nuts and so he finally said something.

I haven't taken a class yet, but I've taught myself how to cook new things and I've been playing in and trying to learn my photoshop!

  • I'd like to know too @‌goatlady12! If yours willing to share.

Here are my nails after 6 weeks of no acrylics! I've been using jamberry wraps and they are awesome. No biting and they are getting long. I just can't wait for the damaged part to grow out.

  • I should say... I'm such a bad nail biter, I used to bite my nails under the acrylics.

  • @mana8503 How long have you been using the wraps for? I saw somebody selling a set on a local for sale type board on facebook and I got a bit curious, but knew nobody else who used them.

@consciousdear88‌ - My first wraps were on 3 weeks while I picked my acrylics off. Next were 2 weeks and I only changed them for my maternity pictures. These are going on a week, so 6 weeks total? My toes have been on the whole time, but I lost the little ones. I just can't reach to fix them right now.

It took a little getting used to putting them on. I now use a flat iron to heat them up, works great. I just YouTube how. My friend sales them and I'm on her fb group. I've gotten a lot of freebies that's way. She's in Delaware so I just order from her to get tax free and she mails them.
