tent camping

We went camping last weekend and stayed in a cabin. It was really nice and had a/c. Our first night was rough b/c Abby was teething, itching, and was in a new place. It was hard to settle her and she went to bed way late. The second night she did great. We perfected our new sleep routine and had no problems.

Anyway, we are supposed to go camping again in October. My mil reserved a tent site for us. We are trying to figure out if we should camp in the tent or get a room at a nearby hotel (there are no cabins there). A big part of me really wants to try tent camping and so does dh. We are just worried what will happen if she has a rough night.

Would you try tent camping with a 15 month old toddler? Why or why not? If anyone has done this do you have any tips? TIA!
