1. How MM was your weekend?
2. Any progress towards goals?
3. What's the farthest you've been from home?
Re: Monday Accountability
1. $3.50 at Kohls on 2 shirts (after coupon and Kohls cash) Love this store!
$1.28 Redbox movie
$7 Grocery store for fruits/veggies
$28 Chinese food
2. Nothing to report. We've had 2 huge vet bills for the dogs and he is recovering from a cyst removal so we've been trying to stay home with him and not spent a lot for when the big bills come!
3. Hawaii! That's very far from the northeast!
1. How MM was your weekend? Pretty good- groceries ($112), more clapboard for the house ($196), lunch for my parents ($30), pizza Saturday night ($21)
2. Any progress towards goals? Nothing new- all of the clapboard is purchased ($600 total) so hopefully there isn't too much to buy for the summer repairs. Probably another can of paint or 2.
3. What's the farthest you've been from home? Hawaii (we're in the northeast US)- DH and I went there about a year after we were married even though it was our official honeymoon. Fabulous time and we hope to take the girls back in 8-10 years.
1. How MM was your weekend?
Eh, not awesome. I've been swiping my debit card instead of using cash out of convenience and have no idea what I spent this weekend. Nothing major, but lots of little things that add up!
2. Any progress towards goals?
Hit the Jackpot of direct sales Cash and Carry so lots of old stuff(that I earned for free) that was taking up space is gone and lots of cash is in and going into the bank today. Also, I get my yearly Longevity Paycheck this week so that will go to my car payment making an extra 1.5 payments on it this month!
3. What's the farthest you've been from home?
1. How MM was your weekend? Ugh, we spent a lot, but it was all budgeted for. So still MM.
$100 on new running shoes, $50 on a ceiling fan for the nursery, $30 on groceries, $15 eating out for lunch, and $50 on the Roku.
2. Any progress towards goals? We officially cancelled Directv. So that will save us $85/month. We now have Redbox for $7.99 and will probably do HuluPlus.
We also listed H's car for sale this weekend because we learned the infant seat and stroller will not fit in his little coupe. :-( We also have someone interested in buying my SUV. We're not sure about selling both cars, but it will mean we buy 2 vehicles in cash and are 100% debt free by the time baby is 6 months. Now that sounds amazing.
3. What's the farthest you've been from home? 4,000ish miles. When I studied abroad in London for 6 weeks.

1. How MM was your weekend?
Our weekend wasn't too bad. I went to visit my parents to give H space for his last weekend of study. I spent about $20 eating out with friends and $45 on gas. Then H and I spent $50 on groceries for this week.
2. Any progress towards goals?
Not really - lots of goals will be accomplished this week and next week though!
3. What's the farthest you've been from home?
I've been to Italy. Probably the furthest point east was Florence, though it was definitely the most touristy/Americanized place we visited. I much preferred Rome (didn't really love Florence TBH), and I also saw Pompeii which felt like the furthest "away" (from a cultural standpoint). Pompeii was unbelievable.
1. How MM was your weekend?
Better than last weekend!! We ate out on Friday for dinner and Saturday for lunch. Came in under budget for groceries (thank you, coupons!) Other than that, no expenses! Actually found that the gym had double-charged us for July, so that's $40 back!
2. Any progress towards goals?
Savings went up $203, Debt dropped $138. Slowly, but surely! Only $300 to our first goal in savings!
3. What's the farthest you've been from home?
Probably in the Caribbean somewhere. I'll be heading to Mexico in a couple of weeks, finally!
1. How MM was your weekend?
not terrible: $33.25 at the pet store (cat food, little toys for each fur baby, and a much needed mani/pedi for the dog), $60 at BBQ-festival ($10 each entry, $5/beer, and BBQ yumminess), $88 Groceries
2. Any progress towards goals?
nothing outstanding, the end of the month is this week, planning a decent transfer to savings.
3. What's the farthest you've been from home?
France...from New England...not terrible.
:::waves hi:::
1. Groceries $55, Taco Bell $15, New recliner $399 (DH got a second job this summer and this was his reward, the rest is heading to debt pay off! )
2. New budget created for August, two new savings accounts opened, $25 added to each of those
3. DH and I took a Disney Cruise for our honeymoon. We went to the Bahamas.
BFP#2: 7/21/11 DS born 3/23/12
2. We got another check from our mortgage company for settling our loan after selling. It'll keep us on our goal.
3. European trip in 2009 with DH - London, Paris, France, Italy
Not too bad! I've been in Hawaii this past week and will be here through Tuesday. I've been able to keep to my budget with the exception of some surprise baggage fees from Hawaiian Airlines going to Maui from Oahu and back (I booked through United so thought the first bags would be free as a United credit card holder) - otherwise doing pretty good!
2. Any progress towards goals?
Next week we should be able to put a big chunk away. Otherwise my extra student loan payment comes out on the 8th, and our Roth deposit on the 15th. We like the set-it-and-forget-it approach.
3. What's the farthest you've been from home?
Australia for our honeymoon... Over twenty-four hours of travel from our home in the Midwest. I've also been to Greece, which took about sixteen total hours of travel.
1. How MM was your weekend? Great. It was our one year anniversary this weekend. We had $250 saved to do whatever we wanted and only spent $125!
2. Any progress towards goals? Nope.
3. What's the farthest you've been from home? Maine to Utah is the furthest distance I have traveled.
Love: March 2010 Marriage: July 2013 Debt Free: October 2014 TTC: May 2015
2. Planning a big car payment for tomorrow (payday)
3. Australia and NZ when I studied abroad in college. I'm very lucky to have had that experience!
1. How MM was your weekend? Decent. Went over our budget for gas this month (all those trips to the new house I guess) but other than that we are on track to save a ton in preparation for moving next month.
2. Any progress towards goals? Moving into our new house got pushed back by a week, so in the mean time we rented a storage unit. This felt like progress because I"m able to pack more because I have a place to put all the boxes.
3. What's the farthest you've been from home? Singapore. DH and I lived there for 6 months right after we got married. His job got transferred there to help work on a project and facilitate the merger that was going on. It was really cool, and as a bonus we lived off his perdiem so we were able to pay off the house when we got home!
1. How MM was your weekend? Meh, not good, mostly cash but not all. Could have been worse though.
2. Any progress towards goals? Not really, need to pay my credit card but I am in a slow bill paying mood.
3. What's the farthest you've been from home? I would say Zurich, Switzerland since it was a decent train ride from Frankfurt, Germany using ICE trains.
$180 in planned spending for groceries, household, etc. Stocked up. $7 for my favorite tea - perfect splurge!
2. Any progress towards goals?
No
3. What's the farthest you've been from home?
I have no idea. I have barely traveled since having kids! 8 or 9 hrs in the car.
We will be able to put an extra $1,200 toward principal on our mortgage this month.
I've been to both Norway and Hawaii, which seem to be equally far away from me.
1. How MM was your weekend?
Very good actually. I only overspent $22 on plants/potting soil. Everything else was budgeted. It also helped that I didn't go anywhere this weekend.
2. Any progress towards goals?
Nothing this week money wise.
3. What's the farthest you've been from home?
I went to Sao Miguel, Azores for my cousin's wedding when I was 11. I would like to go back in a few years to show H and the girls where my family came from.
