Mana

This weekend I thought of a reason you want to go with a pediatrician vs. a family doctor....weekend sick hours!! I was able to call at 8:10 on Saturday morning and be seen at 8:30. Pediatricians offices are set up to see kids right away when they're sick- some 7 days a week. This is super important when your kid is sick....which is always on a weekend!

Re: Mana

  • That is definitely a pro! I need to call, I just wanted to figure out where I'm delivering first.

Where you deliver doesn't really matter. If your pedi goes there, he or she will see you....otherwise whoever the hospital has will see you. You just call as soon as Eliza is born and the pedi will get you in around day 3.

Neither of my girls was seen by their pedi in the hospital.
  • I worried I wouldn't be able to figure out how to coordinate getting the pedi to the hospital but when you're admitted they ask who your pedi group is and the handle the rest. When you're discharged they tell you to go home and call the pedi so you can get in for a weight check. Easy peasy!

If you have questions or concerns about how that stuff works just ask because I just went though it:) obviously! Ha
  • Yea I know they will take care of her, I just didn't want to tell the pedi one hospital then change in a week. I'm giving my ob one more appt and see what's up. I still don't have an appt for next week when I'm suppose to start the NST.
