QOTD 7/31

This might be a confession for some people but how many times do you wear your bra before washing it?

Re: QOTD 7/31

  • I usually wash them every week or two, but idk how much I wear them, depends on the outfits.

  • With the weekly laundry load on Saturdays. I usually wear them 2-3 times before washing.

  • Right now I have one bra that fits, I'm starting to spill out of it.  It gets worn everyday but washed once a week.  I didn't see the need to buy a bunch of bras when I've been out growing them like crazy.  What comes after DDD?
  • You're supposed to wash them?!?!?!

    That's what febreze is for!

  • I'll admit that I don't wash bras very often. Occasionally, I'll throw them in the wash...but it's kind of embarrassing : /

F or G. I'm a G but they haven't grown since I got pregnant. I just had to buy wireless ones because the wire was getting uncomfortablely smooched between the belly and the boobs.

  • I don't wash mine very often. I have a tendency to break bras, and I've found they last longer the less I wash them :-X Yeah, this is more of a confession....haha

  • I don't know....

I wash them every few weeks, but I'm really not sure how much they get worn prior to a wash.
  • Not as often as I should. I also find they last longer with less washings.
  • I wear mine 2 times before washing it.  But if I'm hot and sweaty I will only wear the bra once.  I usually do laundry on the weekend when the it's off peak for electricity but will occasionally do a laod during the week if it's sunny enough to hang out.

I've learned they last longer if they don't go through the dryer.
  • Whenever I do other laundry, I'll throw them in there. So about once every 2 weeks. Less if I get lazy.

  • I try my best to get them washed once a week. Occasionally it gets backburnered to two weeks if I don't have a ton of laundry to wash with it. (We go through more work clothes than normal clothes and I don't want to wash them with our chemical laced work things)

OMG yes! and it sometimes decides to start sliding out the ends, like it pokes through the material. I've tried reinforcing with thread and it just leaves marks on my boobs. *sigh*

@goatlady12, I've tried air drying before, and even hand washing. They turn out weird. :-X

  • I usually wash mine with the rest of laundry, so like every two weeks. I have like 3 that I rotate, so several days between washes. I don't dry them either. I wash them and then hang dry.

  • I wash mine when I do laundry (so like once every other week). I wear them for about a week before tossing them in the hamper.

  • I try to throw them in with the regular laundry so it's about once a week.  Before my reduction and bras cost me a small fortune, I'd only wash them once every couple of weeks.

I usually wear them for a week before they go into the laundry basket. I machine wash (oh the horror) and hang to dry.

When I had the underwire of some of my VS bras pop through, I took them back to the store and they gave me credit towards new ones. They always ask how I wash them and I say "hand wash but I admit that sometimes my husband accidentally puts them in the washer." Yup, I blame DH who doesn't even do the laundry...

Eta - DH is usually standing right next to me when I tell the sales person what happened. Lol

Yup mine do the same thing! But honestly I haven't had that problem with Lane Bryant bras. I wash on delicate and hang dry them. More $$ but they last longer.

I've got one Lane Bryant that I love, but theirs don't consistently fit right. I've started buying them from Torrid. They also carry larger sizes and fit me a bit better.
