Talk to me about quinoa

I think I must be doing something wrong.  Every SINGLE time we have it, I feel so bloated and awful afterwards.  The first time I made it, it was the first grain I had had in two weeks, so I figured it would be natural for my tummy to react that way.  But we just had some tonight and I feel sooooo yucky.  I know it's high in fiber, but I already eat a high fiber diet, so it can't be that.  Unless...it is?  Am I eating too much fiber?!?!

Does it bother anyone else?  Or is this another "Janet's digestive tract is super special" thing?

It doesn't bother me. N doesn't like it, but I don't think it bothers him....and a lot of stuff bothers him. Are you eating like 2949 cups of it? lol
  • Haha, no!  I did, however, find out the hard way that 1 cup of uncooked quinoa equals 3 cups cooked.
  • I also have a special stomach reacts to everything and nothing at the same time...and it doesn't seem to bother me. I actually had it for dinner the last two nights in a chili and didn't have a problem
