Re: Manic Monday

  • Highs- was a pretty relaxing weekend at home since the weather was so crappy. I redid my resume and applied for a job, which is currently making me freak the hell out in a good/bad way.

Lows- Long story. Saturday night we spent the night at my parents. M fell asleep on me outside by the bonfire. I put him to bed in the spare bedroom where he has slept a bajillion times. (greg is a weirdo and sleeps on an air mattress because he hates the bed in that room, so I share a bed with M). We went to bed shortly after, my mom was still up reading in her room. A hour or so later after I went to bed she heard M crying downstairs in the dark saying that he didn't know where I was. She brings him back up to me and tells me she found him wandering around.

The next morning after talking to him about it, he told us that he went outside looking for me but it was raining on his head so he came back in. HE UNLOCKED THE DEADBOLTED DOOR WHICH LEADS TO HER POOL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND WENT OUTSIDE. I can't stop replaying in my head what might of happened if he didn't stay on the steps and went out to go look for me outside. We had him show us what he did and he went right over to the door and got it open in 2 seconds. I'm more freaked out because it wasn't like he was in another room away from me. I was right beside him, so I don't know if he like kind of just woke up half asleep, remembered that the last place we all were was outside and went to go look, or was legit sleep walking and didn't wake up until he was downstairs. Either way I'm freaked out and now I'm making Greg buy the chain locks to put on all the doors here, and contemplating getting an alarm system. My mom has an alarm thats usually set, but we didn't have it one because my stepdad was on night work and we didn't want it going off when he came home in the morning. Lesson learned.

  • @mammersoh - HOW SCARY!  I'm so scared Ryan will get out during the night.  Our alarm definitely gives us a pieve of mind.  The first night we had them last week, Lilly came into our room and said he wasn't in bed or downstairs.  I about had a heart attack.  We looked in the basement, everywhere.  the alarm was still set, so we knew he was in the house.  I guess he got scared in the t-storm and slept under his bed.  I was shaking for an hour afterwards.  I'm tempted to get a bell for their bedroom door, Jeff and I are too heavy of sleepers.

Highs - the whole week(end)!  We've had a blast with the kiddos, I can't believe I'm back to work today!

Lows - Just drama with BM, we got another ER bill for Lilly for... drum roll - a yeast infection.  I can't deal with the stupid right now.  GO TO THE DOCTOR'S NOT THE ER!  It was a Tuesday, BTW.

@mammersoh HOW SCARY. Lil went through a period of sleepwalking, but never got out of her room. I put those door handle things on the inside of her room.

@mana8503 Um...how did she get the yeast infection? Don't you have to sit in a wet bathing suit for hours? And can you PLEASE file. Okay. I'm done.

Highs: The whole weekend was nice. Friday night N and I went out to dinner. Saturday we went to an indoor jumpy place and then a block party in town. Sunday we went peach picking, which was a LOT of fun. C sat in the middle of the field and ate THREE peaches. It was intense.

Lows: C is working on another tooth and she is NOT good at teething.
  • @mammersoh - SO scary!! I'm glad you found him before anything happened.

@mana8503 - I'm with Steph on the yeast infection thing. How did that even happen? That lady makes my blood boil.

Highs - The concert was ahhhhhmazing. Such a good night.

Lows - I have a sinus infection and H is working crazy hours so I was one-on-one with T a lot of the weekend. My parents were here Saturday night into Sunday to watch him so we could go to the concert but they left super early on Sunday. I just wanted to sleep this off so... I called out of work today to do so.

  • Highs: I had a pretty relaxing weekend

Lows: Max started coming down with a cold on Saturday. We were supposed to go to NJ for a BBQ to see a friend who was visiting from TX. I'm sad I missed her, but couldn't bring the little man out if he was feeling crappy. Thankfully he's better today.

  • Highs: H and I had a fun night on Friday!  We went to Firestone's and got yummy pizza for dinner.  I couldn't eat all of mine, so H walked the leftovers to the car and then we moved out to the patio for drinks.  My favorite cover band was playing and we got our dance on.  The best part was I had pizza to eat at the end of the night!

Low: We went to my parents' house to celebrate my sister's birthday on Sunday and it was just tense and drama-filled.  I'm so over family.
  • Yea, idk how an 8 year old gets a yeast infection. Bm just said it's girl thing that happens. Um, nope it doesn't just happen. My first thought was bathing suit on too long too.

  • @mana8503 Does she take bubble baths?  I know girls who have issues with them.

@janma529 I'm sorry about family drama.  It sucks.

@mammersoh That's very scary.  I'm glad nothing happened!!

Highs... very relaxing.  It was nice not to have to cram everything in before Monday.  Oh and I took a nap.  That never happens unless I'm sick.  :)

I used to get bladder infections from my friend's pool because her parents didn't have the chlorine levels right or something.  Food for thought.  Or completely unrelated...

No, I remember getting a uti around 9. I know stuff like that happens. I just never heard of a yeast infection unless she was taking antibiotics. After the initial shock we were like ok, I guess it can happen. Now it's more, why did you go to the ER?! Diagnosis testing was $900!

@klm42404 - she does take baths, not sure if it's bubble baths at home. I throw bubbles in once in a while when we have her. What's in bubbles that cause yeast infections? My mom says the same thing.

Amoxicillian antibiotics give me a yeast infection. It only happened once (the only time I have ever gotten one) and I have since avoided all "cillans" since then since its an allergic reaction. My mom and Chase are both allergic to it too. Chase breaks out in a rash, but I dont know what reaction my mom has.

  • @mana8503‌ I don't know, I don't think bubble baths cause yeast infections. I've only heard them causing UTIs. I just did a quick google search and it said staying in a bathing suit too long, too tight of underwear or pants, and girls that have diabetes because their sugar levels are too high, and recently being on antibiotics.

  • But seriously? Who goes to the ER for a yeast infection? I know its terribley uncomfortable, but come one. That bitch does it because she doesnt have to pay for it and she uses it as a way to fuck you guys over.
  • I've gotten a yeast infection from going on antibiotics back to back. My mom always blames bubble baths but I don't see the correlation. I take them all the time and I don't have an issue. Lilly will only take a bath and this is the first issue.

She took her to the ER thinking it was a uti. But still... It's a Tuesday - call your doctor! Go to urgent care. Jeff's surgery at urgent care was still under $200. That's with 2 x-rays and other Crap.

@mrsskiz‌ - Well she doesn't know I still have them covered. My EOB said they needed more info (I think it's asking if they are covered through another insurance). It lists the full cost so I sent it to her. She said her H has awesome amazing insurance with no copay (who's buying that?), and she doesn't know why it was sent to mine. She's listed at Lilly's guarantor so she's responsible for billing no matter who's insurance. It's Ryan that had Jeff as the guarantor. But we work it out of her CS, with her approval and emails saved. She said she'll fix that...

It's just annoying getting it in the mail, especially when it's a thousand dollars.
